Our group of 3 adullts and 3 children had a terrfic time on each of the trips . The two morning trips were by far the most fun because we caught more fish...afternoon trip was very windy. The crews on each trip were helpful and attentive and made for an overall fun experience.

First time for my husband & son; only second time on ocean fishing trip for me. First time at age 12 was sea sick whole trip. So this trip was wonderful. Husband & I prepared with dramamine. Son got seasick but crew was very helpful. Fishing was a blast...Captain & Crew were great! Food from the galley was reasonable in price & taste good!Only down side was not many "keepers". Will definitely go back!

The calico bass were biting immediately on bait. Small barracuda and mackerel joined the bite later. We were

fishing about 10 minutes from the jetty so we had a very short boat ride. Many of the fish were undersize(most

12 to 13 3/4 inches) but were a lot of fun. The crew was excellent. They were there to answer any questions,

give helpful hints, and remove any fish from our hooks. It was an excellent trip!

I have fished up and down the California coast for over 50 years. There are a lot of good ports, and a lot of good boats. But none can beat the Dana Wharf for clean boats, good scenery, and friendly, helpful crews.

I fish on the Dana Wharf boats a lot- nearly every week. I hope to meet you when you come out fishing.

I promised a fishing trip to my brother and his two young sons as a Christmas gift. I made a special trip from my home in Loon Lake Washington to fulfill my promise. When one of the two nephews became ill the eve of the trip it could have ruined everything but that did not happen. Happily the landing personnel adjusted the one cancelled trip and issued the proper fish licenses and gear in a flash. We were on the boat in minutes and outside the harbor fishing in a few more minutes. My eight year old nephew said after the trip that it was much better than he expected and was ready to go again the next week. He was surprised that there were as many kids on board as adults and to top it off he caught six fish. The three of us caught eight fish but left them to grown a little more. Nice clean, wide beam SUM FUN boat and friendly, helpful crew. Definitely a DO AGAIN outing.

Fishing was interrupted countless times by the pelicans and cormorants that went after our bait. Not really anyone's fault, but completely wrecked what could have been an enjoyable fishing day. If the captain or anyone can figure out how to get rid of the birds, then this fishing trip would be pleasant, and actually fun!

Sum Fun was too small a boat and was too crowded. Several people got sick, at night. Then, especially when the boat begins to rock and heave through the swells, sea sickness becomes prevalent since the horizon line is no longer visible. Our last two fishing excursions were on the Dana Pride, a much bigger boat, with half the fishermen. Both of those trips were far more enjoyable.
