Good but deckhand had disrespectful attitude
Mon, Aug 31  12:00 PM skipmolina Male 60-69 Local Family Without Children
We had a very enjoyable time on the afternoon half day boat except for the young deckhand who was rude and disrespectful to us. He shouted at us four times in a row for not keeping our small bass in the air and not landing on the deck, and he also disregarded our request to keep the fish heads(we use for soup) we requested at cleaning casting them overboard.

It was a very nice experience...Probably because there was only 15 people on the boat.

Great times with your grandson

Great to see how your grandchild experiences how to fish. Most people refer to it as, on the job training. The deck help were quick to help in setting up your reel and helping in anyway they could and were polite.

I had fun. Crew and captain were awesome. Very helpful getting anything my daughter or I needed they were right there ready to assist. Didn't take very long to start fishing caught some fish too small to keep but still almost everyone Vought something. Will be going on the full day next time

The fishing was OK but the boat was too crowded.

They shouldn't sell out the entire boat. It was way too full and we spent LITERALLY half the time on boat untangling our lines. It really took away from the fun of fishing. The crew kept cutting our lines to help untangle the messes and I lost 4 hooks and weights rigs because of that and then had to take the time to rig a new setup on my pole every time. I also lost several fish due to the tangled lines mess on board. There were several people who just refused to rotate when the captain called for everyone to rotate to the right. Those people just forced their way in between our numbers and refused to move. The crew didn't do anything about it. All in all it was a disastrous outing.

The Captain worked hard to find fish and the crew was very helpful to all the anglers. Our overall fishing experience was both fun and relaxing.

First So. Cal party boat trip
Mon, Mar 9  10:00 AM T8ter1 Male 60-69 Local Unspecified
Crew was great! Fish I caught were small, but that's okay with me for this close to shore type of deal. Has got to be a lot pressure on the Calicos as heavy as they are fished here. If you are interested in a fun day on the water and don't care about a trophy or a bunch of meat for the table this is you trip.

My grandson was on his first ocean fishing trip. We got on boat and all the established fishing people headed for the back of the boat to Anchor there positions on the rail. Every spot on the rail has a number and at some point the captain is supposed to ask everyone to rotate to there same number either to the right or Left, so that everyone gets a position at the back of the boat, which is where the best fishing is, at least while anchored.

Well My Grandson who is 11 years old was never asked if he wanted or needed any help, there were other Women on the boat and they ended up on the front of the boat the whole trip.

The crew was good, food great, but only one deck hand for over 30 people with a lot of beginners.

Won't go on that Boat again!
