Fantastic Experience

We saw 2 magnificent blue whales and a huge sunfish that was sunning himself and did not move away. The crew gave us a lot of information about the animals we were looking at. Even though the water had high waves getting out into the ocean, the captain made the ride very smooth until we were in calmer waters. Also, the hot dogs were delicious.

Blue Whale Adventure

Since the month of July is not really for seeing too many whales, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see two blue whales in one excursion. The dolphins were an added attraction and they displayed their exuberance with a show that was phenomenal. The captain and crew were great and very informative. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

The two hour whale and dolphin tour was on time and the captain and one man crew were very efficient and kept everyone up to date on what was out there. Unfortunately there were no whale sightings that day on any outing. We did come across 2 large pods of porpoise. We had some very good film of them. I will do this again in the winter and hopefully have better success in seeing whales.

Lovely catamaran with easy access for handicapped like me. Crew member jumped to help me get on and off and also while I was on the boat to walk around. Very good descriptions over the intercom of what we were seeing and about local sea life. We didn't see any whales but lots of dolphins and of course the seals sitting on the bouy. Nice little cafe on board with great hot dogs, grilled cheese, lots of sodas and other drinks, beer to enjoy. Prices not bad for these either. Very nice 2 hours.

Captain made excellent effort to spot whales

My husband and I took a two-day trip from Encinitas, CA stopping the first day in Dana Point to search for whales and dolphins. We heard they had excellent luck here. The boat was nice and the Captain (whom was sat behind) and his assistant were continually using binoculars to try to spot whales and dolphins. Unfortunately, there were no whales that day but he found a great pod of dolphins who had a great time jumping high into the air several feet and surfing the wake he was providing.
