BEST NEW YEAR'S EVER!

Two of us went on Jan 2nd at 10am. The fog had gone out to sea and it was cold but sunny. The captain was in touch with other boats so we headed to where a whale was reported. She was pretty far out but we could see the water sprout from her blowhole. That was exciting, but then we saw two on the land side of the boat spouting water. One had to catch up with the one further away, but then they were swimming in tandom and decided to go deep for food. THAT'S WHEN THE TAILS COME UP! It was spectacular to see both of them swimming and diving together.

The captain gave us a history lesson and explained what the whales werie doing, where they were going & why, and when they would return. He was very good!

My friend had gone out several times but only seen the spouts. Boy was she excited to see the tails! I came to CA for the Rose Bowl Parade & then we decided to go whale watching on the next day. I'm so glad we did! I will always remember the whales much more than the parade. A wonderful way to begin the new year.

The tour operator and his assistant were knowledgeable. We wanted to ask some questions but the tour operators stayed inside the cabin the entire time but of course they had to operate the boat and look for whales. Otherwise it was a fun trip and the operators really wanted to find whales for us which was much appreciated. Kind of expensive too..

The captain and crew are filled with interesting knowledge of all forms of ocean life and the current status of our ecosystem. If you can't find the whales, you will see playful dolphins, seals and pelicans. Clean and not expensive.

2 hours for a wonderful trip is worth every penny. Plus you can get 1/2 price ticket if you don't see the whales.

Go!

Really enjoyed this whale watching trip! Nice boat with plenty of room so everyone could see the animals. Our guide was very informative about the wildlife and considerate of them. Saw a pod of dolphins who played behind our boat and a pair of grey whales. We're back in SoCal in August and plan on doing this whale watching trip again - I want to see blue whales!

The boat was a little late leaving the dock but the delay was worth it. It was a beautiful day and the captain was very knowledgeable about whales and we saw two gray whales and many dolphins. I would recommend this trip to any one looking for an exciting day in southern California.

Great adventure... better than the amusement parks. Kids, adults all loved it.. food, drink and real wild life in the pacific coast's version of the Serengeti.. Worth every penny!! The Captain was filled with information, knew the spots to find the wild life, the boat had great viewing even with lots of folks on board... They proved our best tourist attraction is the wild blue at the edge of our coast not inland!!!! Dolphin's were as curious as us!! Whales! Grey whale stories! Had a beer and a sandwich while experiencing the great outdoors come to life in front of our eyes. Their boat was large enough to feel very safe yet small enough to feel we were on a special tour. Dana Harbor is awesome too.. good food, bars, and a little cool shopping and even a museum...

We were able to see a gray whale for an extended period of time as he traveled south. Then we were able to experience a large pod of dolphins swimming close to the boat . It was such a special experience.
