WONDERFUL! SAW 6 WHALES, TONS OF DOLPHINS!

We went on a 2p and it was amazing! We spotted sea lions immediately, there was actually one in the harbor with the boats. Within about 20 mins, we saw a group of 3 Gray Whales! We followed that group for a good amount of time, then the captain spotted another group of 3 Gray Whales. We headed that way and followed the second group for a while! The whales surfaced frequently to use their blow holes but unfortunately didn't jump out of the water. We didn't get real close to the whales, but it was close enough to see them! As we were heading back in to the harbor, the captain spotted a pod of dolphins in the distance and we turned around and followed them for a while. This was the best part of the trip! There were hundreds of dolphins jumping all around the boat! They were so close you could almost touch them! It was a little chilly out on the water...be sure to take a jacket! The crew was great...highly recommend!

I booked an 11 am trip on March 5 during the Whale Watching Festival for my husband, myself and our 24 year old son. The weather was great, cool but sunny. The number of people on the trip seemed just right. The captain found a school of dolphins that played with the boat, great for photos. He did find a whale about an hour plus into the trip. That was terrific and again a great photo-op. The captain seemed to have a good knowledge of the marine life in the area and shared that with the guests. We all enjoyed the trip.

Great company! Clean boat, great crew, free four hour parking, and we got lucky and saw 2 CA grey whales together. Lots of dolphins too ! It was relaxing and the crew was GREAT from check in to docking after the cruise. 04/02/2010. Will do this again next trip to CA. Great for kids, our 6 year old daughter can't wait to go back. The access from the freeway to the dock is easy too.

NO WHALES

Unfortunately we hardly saw any whales on our two hour sunset tour- even though the festival of whales was going on and there were supposed to be many whales migrating in the area. The couple glimpses we did get were very far away and just a split second shot of a whales back. I understand that when trying to view wild animals, it's hard to guarantee anything- but I couldn't help but be disappointed, especially since we purposefully came during the whale festival and I thought there was a high probability that we would get some nice views of the whales :(

Wednesday, March 25th, 4pm cruise

Didn't look good when we left port last Wednesday...but we ran into a HUGE pod of common dolphins. There were several hundred of them. On our way back to port we saw six grey whales and the ship captain let us stay out later than our designated time so that everyone would have a good chance of getting a picture.

THANKS Dana wharf whale watching crew!!

I saw the Ad on an EMail from Fast Trax. Loked like a good activity. I bought (2) tickets on line. Nice and Easy. It turned out to be a beautiful day. We saw the first grey whale for the festival thi syear as well as many many dolphins, seals and more. The (2) hour ride was almost too fast. As we were on the 8:00 A.M. tour, afterwards we spent the rest of the day enjoying the activities in the area and then taking a romantic trip up the coast to Laguna Beach. We will do again!

I loved that getting our tickets was so simple. Everyone was nice. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see any whales but we did have a lovely afternoon out and we have a "whale check" to return for another adventure. You can't beat this policy! You cannot predict Mother Nature so just enjoy the ride and maybe you'll get lucky.
