Even though we didn't see any whales or dolphins on the morning that I went, it was a beautiful and relaxing day out on the water. I met a lot of nice people. At the end of the cruise, we all got a ticket to come back again, since we didn't see any whales. I would go again whether I saw any or not.

Having owned a boat before when I lived out here, I do know that you can see dolphins and whales and sea lions during certain times of the year. We almost always saw dolphins on our way to Catalina. They used to play in the wake our our boat. They are such a joy to see when they are around, but it's not something you can predict, only hope for. Either way, whether you see them or not, you will enjoy being out on the water for a relaxing day trip. I would go out every day if I had the time.

I will be back again soon! Just be sure to bring your camera's or video cam's.

Outstanding Service and knowledge

This is a double review. My entire family enjoyed a whale watching trip on March 21, 2007 and my son and I enjoyed a five-hour deep-sea fishing trip on March 22. Both were excellent in service, ease of use (fishing trip), knowledge of local marine life (whale watching), and overall quality of the experience. Your crew was friendly, safety-conscious and courteous. Well done. We'll see you again.

Every thing was good. Got good discount 40% used it too book smoothly on line. Saved 100$ on 5 tickets. The check in was simple. Parking available. The voyage was very nice. Saw dolphins and 5 whales. It was not crowded and the crew did their best to follow them. We really enjoyed it. Coming from central Saudi Arabia their was a lot to savior. Really worth the trip and good value fir money.

we shared our tour with a preschool group of 36 children and some parents. the kids used the ship as a water based playground. they were un guarded and never stopped running. bad job by the parents! wished we were notified and we would have rescheduled later

We saw several whales coming up, no tail or jumping action but they are just passing through and it was a joy seeing them in nature and not like in Sea Effin World!! The crew was amazing even if we had choppy waters. Our 4pm was cancelled due to weather conditions so we got on the 2pm trip. I love it!

Well managed logistics

The process was professional and the crew very competent

While on the excursion, was told that this "really isn't the time to look for whales, that comes in a month or two" by a local who regularly liked to take the trip to study dolphins, or so he said.

If that is true, I think it would be better for the company to highlight that fact.

WHALE OF A TIME

We celebrated our daughter's 42nd birthday with a Whale Watching trip out of Dana Point. She had always wanted to go, but there are at least three of us who have motion sickness. We took Dramamine - less drowsy type - and made it through even though the water was really choppy with a lot of whitecaps. We were just about to turn around and head back into the harbor when the crew spotted a blue baleen whale. So, we followed it around for about 45 minutes as it came up to breathe, and went down again, about every six minutes.

Wish we could have seen a lot more of the whales, but had a really fun time with the one. Very interesting and my daughter LOVED IT!

Thanks for the great trip.

A wonderfully exciting and informative experience!

Each and every step of our whale watching experience was very easy and accommodating. While so often these types of ventures are disappointing, this one lived up to everything we had hoped for. Throughout our viewing of many gray whales, the crew was diligent in communicating with many other vessels to continue to follow and find them. As a bonus, the captain was very informative in providing constant information about the many species of sea life. Truly a wonderful experience!

Always a good time for the family...!

Always a good time on the water... it was a gorgeous day and though we did not see any whales, we did see the usual dolphins which are always entertaining. What made this day special is that it was Mother' s Day and we surprised my wife with the 2 hour trip and our kids came along as well as our 5 year old grandson. He made her day by saying "this is the best day ever". We have done a number of these trips and it never disappoints, whales or no whales... (plus they gave everyone a voucher with the NO Whale policy as it was Mothers Day!).
