Enjoyable. Cook and his assistant OUTSTANDING!

We didn't see any whales, but we had a very enjoyable time experiencing the ocean and the overcast sky. It was beautiful. We saw dophins and sea lions and seals. My 9 yr old and 15 yr old enjoyed everything. The cook and his assistant really made the trip special. God bless them!

Crew was very nice and helpful. Fishing was very poor. Only 3 real (keeper) fish caught by entire group of 50-60 people, and they were small. My son did catch 3 mackerels that we threw back. Since it was his first fishing trip, he thought it was pretty cool. I'm not a fisherman and thought the trip got to be a little long. Boat moved quite a bit to find fish, but there wasn't much out there. Food on board was decent and inexpensive.

We didn't see any sea life. Very disappointing. Of course you cannot control the ocean but it would have been a better trip if you had a captain that talked to us, educated better. It was just a boat ride on the ocean -- not bad but not memorable. We were just glad we are local so we do have the ability to go again.

The Whales Were Hiding

We were disappointed that we did not see any whales, but we saw sea lions and bottlenose dolphins. The dolphins put on a real show for us, leaping out of the water and swimming close to the boat.

The crew was really informative about the animals we were seeing. The boat was clean and very comfortable. We saw 1 grey whale, quite a few common dolphins as well as sea lions.

Educated, trustworthy, and stressed out.

One of the best things is that they will guarantee the ability to see the marine life. They are well informed and have an educated staff. They know the species, area and habits of the wildlife in order to keep their clients informed. I would have given five stars but my only disappointment is that the crew was not very personable. They were "stiff" as of they had had a stressful day. Other than that I would definitely book another trip with this company. It was safe secure and reliable. I would also recommend this charter to others.

Yes, we saw whales, but only when the boat turned on its own or the whale popped up beside the boat. The boat is not big enough for all to be on the bow so many of us were on its side. The captain was so worried about taking photos himself that he would constantly turn the boat to face the whales. This left some of us behind the crowd, unable to see anything. Thank goodness whales are unpredictable and they showed up out to the side once in awhile or we wouldn't have seen much at all. No tip for that cappy!

Although we didn't see any whales I was not disappointed. I saw dolphins playing and jumping in the water. I had never seen them other than Sea World before. They were very close to the boat and I could see the different types of dolphins. It was very exciting. I also saw many sea lions floating in the ocean with their flippers pointed towards the sun. The two hours was the perfect amount of time. It was a wonderful experience I plan on enjoying again.

The staff was great, fun and entertaining. The boat was very nice, clean, had snacks and plenty of viewing areas. The only bummer was that we didn't see anything but a few dolphins. We apparantely tried to chase a hump-back whale which was seen on the tour before us which would have been very cool, but we didn't find it and then only saw a few dolphins at the end. Kind of a bummer for that, but over all the staff was great, and for 1/2 price Wednesday, it wasn't too much of a loss. Thanks.

While we were not fortunate enough to encounter any whales, we did encounter more bottle nosed dolphin than we have ever seen in our lives! It was spectacular!! The dolphins played in the boat's wake providing us with probably 45 minutes worth of awe-inspiring entertainment! It was phenomenal! The captain was a wealth of information about all cetaceans! We learned quite a bit! We were a party of 13 people (3 families), ranging in age from 4 years old to 53 years old, and EVERYONE had a great time! We would do it again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend this company!!

We had a good time. We didn't get to see any whales but saw plenty of dolphins and the crew made sure we had plenty of opportunities to take photographs. The crew also had cookies downstairs for Valentine's Day for free! Our day was windy, rainy and rough water but we enjoyed ourselves.

Rejuvination for your soul

The boat is large, clean, stable and almost new. The staff was frienly, helpful, and knowledgable. They found a huge pod of dolphins that came right up to the boat, a Mola Mola the size of a small dining table and I saw a whale breech in the distance. That combined with great weather made this a spectacular experience. Remember your jacket no matter how warm it is (it was over 80 at the dock but downright cold at full speed). I had a jacket but those in shorts and tank tops were covered in goose bumps unless they sought the shelter of the indoor area. Wear good walking shoes because you will want to stand on the front or rear deck to be sure to see everything. Hats and sunglasses are a good thing and sunscreen might be good too even at this time of year. I would happily go again and soon!

What an extraordinary day!
Sat, Jan 22, 11   2:00 PM KarenFletche Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
The tour was given to us as a Christmas gift, and what a fabulous day it was! We saw a pod of gray whales with 4 members-the first and largest pod sighting of the year. On the way out, we saw Rizzo dolphins and again on the way back. The animals that were the most fun were the HUNDREDS of Common dolphins that raced to our boat, and even changed course just to bow ride. They are quite playful and everyone was thrilled.

We appreciated that the captain was not in any rush to get back to the marina.

Go!!!!!! It's an experience you'll never forget!
