Try not to pay full price....

If you don't see a dolphin or a whale they'll give you a voucher to come back later (preface). Anyways, we went on the 2pm - 4pm "cruise" and didn't see either at the 4pm mark. Now I had LA Dodgers vs Reds tickets for me and my brother, so we took arriving back to shore at/around 4:15pm would give us plenty of time to get to the ballgame. Well 4pm came and went with no dolphins or whales (but really, it's not the company's fault if you don't see either). Around 4:10pm the boat got word of a dolphin pod about a mile away..cool. So we steam ahead and get to the pod, plenty of dolphins for all. We finally arrived back to shore at near 5pm, which is an hour later that we planned for. So yes, worth it if you have coupons or half-price days (Tues) but don't make any real plans before 5pm, because they'll try their best to not give you vouchers :) (And yes, we did make it to the game...barely)

Fun Activity!

We had a great time on the boat even though we didn't see any whales. We did see lots of playful dolphins and other sea life animals. The captain of the boat provided wonderful information about the sea life we were observing. It was a relaxing and fun day being out on the water!

We had a terrific time. Loved the dolphins and informative guide. Wish the whales would've shown up but they were "shy" the day wee went.

Dolphin Mega Pod

We were in the midst of a wonderful dolphin mega pod of 5000 to 6000! You never know what you will see in nature: we hoped to see a blue whale but instead were entertained by this amazing group!

Tough day fishing, nice to be out on water

Sunday PM trip. Went fishing with my son and his friend, they are both in their early 20's. The live bait was large sardines, so I think that affected the calico bite. Maybe 35 anglers on boat, saw maybe 20 keeper calicos landed, some of them were decent sized (3#+). I just couldn't hook one. The crew was great, the weather was nice, look forward to trying again soon. Hopefully they will have anchovies soon.

Grandpa & Grandma with Grandkids.
Sun, Jul 1, 12   12:45 PM CarolBohrer Female 60-69 Local Family With Children
We had the best time with our 2 grandsons, 12 and 14 years old. Neither had fished much, so the crew was so helpful with them. We were talking with the boys and Grandpa said "this is kinda fun" the 12 years old said "Grandpa this is a Lot of Fun !" :). We had lunch, great cheeseburgers. (our hats off to the cook).

Wonderful memories we will all have.

Good trip for a family
Sun, Jul 1, 12   12:00 PM bash33 Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Good discount on the website. Parking is tight - give yourself time to find a parking spot. We saw lots of dolphins, sea lions, a big fish but no whales - no one can promise whales. The captain was very knowledgeable but sometimes talked too much.

Fun but could have been better

It was a fun trip and the crew was awesome but we didn't get any fish. Maybe 3 people caught something. The jacklot fish was maybe 2 pounds. It would have been better if more people caught fish

The trip was excellent and was also interesting to learn some new facts about the animals that were seen. I also liked the fact that you were able to buy drinks and food aboard as well. Very enjoyable for me and my husband. A definite must if visiting Dana Point
