Great deal...fun for the whole family!
Sun, Mar 4, 12   8:00 AM UNDERCOVER27 Female 30-39 Local Family With Children
We went on the 8:00am/$10.00 deal. It was perfect! The water was very calm and friendly staff. Love that it had bathrooms and a snack bar on the boat. We didn't see any whales but saw a lot of dolphins that were very close to the boat and were putting on a show for us. You can't guarantee you'll see whales....hey, it's nature! ..but definitely worth our money. We had our 6 year old daughter with us, and she didn't get sea sick at all. Pack a snak if you like...and bring something to keep your kids occupied in case they lose interest. We'd do it again!

Great Show of Dolphins but no Sign of Whales
Sun, Mar 4, 12   8:00 AM chica2you Female 40-49 Local Family With Children
The boat crew was courteous and we left and arrived back on time. The bathrooms and boat were clean. Our voyage wasn't overcrowded so we had room to move in case our side of the boat was missing the action. The dolphins we saw up close and personal and stayed with them for a substantial amount of time. The only let down: We didn't see whales or any clues they were nearby.

i will do this again

For me and my wife really catching a fish would have just been a bonus. We got to see a seal, dolphins. pelicans, which I mite say were a little anoying. But without them it would take away from the experience. Just being on the on the ocean was fun for us. The captian got the anchor stuck and watching the crew try and correct that, was interesting. As for the crew of the boat I dont believe I have seen a more nice and helpful group in a long while. Especially for california. Im from ohio, and that kind of politeness and service is what you see on fishing tours on Lake Erie not off the cost of California. For this reason my wife and I will go back. we got to see some people catch some fish, and that was exciting. Being on the ocean was as equally exciting. my wife liked the kelp she said it was pretty. It was just a fun 5 hrs and I plan to go back in the near future. I will be going on the longer trip though this time. The couple we went with said they go to 100+ft and that is were the wife and I want to go next. So we are looking at the 3/4 day trip.next. andyways this was an enjoyable experience for us we are older couple but had a blast. coodoos to the captian and the crew. we will see you next time... Certainly helped that it was a perfect day weather wise, but had it not been, the entire experience was really great.

Boat was so nice and immaculate, staff was friendly, and we saw a pod of dolphins...amazing. Didn't see a whale, but they actually gave our tickets back to try again! Can't wait to go back.

WOW-we saw humpbacks!
Sat, Mar 3, 12   2:00 PM auntiegogo Female 60-69 Local Group of Friends
Smooth and comfortable boat ride. Our leaders went the extra mile for us and took us out 7 miles where we were awed by the antics of two humpback whales right by our boat. Neat thing was, the crew were just as excited as we were! Rare sight to see these whales--sometimes they are only viewed 4-5 times a season. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

Fun

I've been on this boat 5 times in the last 2 years. Always fun. For me, its all about the weather. Make sure you go on the catamaran boat otherwise there is no place to sit. The catamaran has a large cushion seat at the back which is big enough for 6 people to sit and stretch out their legs. So when its sunny/warm out, you can sip your drink and chill with your date. So nice! So if its not sunny then I probably wouldn't go, but if you are going strictly for the whale watching then go! I saw whales and dolphins on every trip and the last one in March, (Grey Whale season) we saw 2 whales leap out of the water and make huge splashes. It was amazing.

Even though no whales appeared, the ride was still great. The cruise was not overcrowded. The guide was informative and interesting.

Handicap assistance zilch
Sat, Mar 3, 12   10:00 AM lois9lane Female 50-59 Local Family Without Children
I emailed the company to ask about wheelchair access prior to purchasing tickets. They responded quickly and were helpful, suggesting specific sailings that would be best to take on the date I selected. The times worked into our schedule. But, upon check in and the entire sailing there was no assistance with boarding, and simple things like where the rest room, where the best location for us to sit was, and getting on and off with grace. The cruise was glorious, even though we didn't see whales, only dolphins. Oh, they didn't give everyone in our party a coupon to return with 50 off either. Only gave it to 3 out of 5. Even after I asked. That sucked.

Relaxing Day At Sea
Sat, Mar 3, 12   10:00 AM mcelweecl Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
This was a nice trip with clean, safe and professional accomodations. However, we did not see any whales so was really disappointed. Whenever these trips promise to see whales there is an even bigger disappointment if none. We saw dolphins and many birds so all was not lost! The Captain was friendly and informative, I would have liked him to speak more on the wildlife as he seemed to know alot and was quite interesting.

Enjoyed the cruise. Boat was nice, not overly crowded. Crew was pleasant and mingled, sharing information about the dolphins.

The captain knew exactly where to go for us to see a huge group of several hundred dolphins. Great knowledge of the waters & the wildlife.

No whales to be seen...

I scoured the website to get up to date info about the recent whale sightings so that I could make an informed decision about booking this activity but I found none, and when i tried to call I was only able to reach the Zerve service...which was no service to me.

dolphins, sea lions, and pelicans a plenty

It was my first whale watching trip and even though we only caght a glimpse of a southern grey snorkeling the hundreds of dolphins and other animals spotted were a welcome site. I won't hesitate to try anothet ride the next time I'm in town.
