Decent Run
Sun, Jan 25  10:00 AM Shell1510 Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
At first we were a bit disappointed because it was quite crowded and we were not seeing any whales or dolphins, only a few sea lions on the way out to sea. But towards the time we needed to turn around to had back we were able to see a group of dolphins and a whale with her baby. The crew followed them for a little extra time just so we could see them. It was quite difficult to hear what the crew was saying and it was at times hard to find a spot to see clearly due to all the people on the boat but overall it was a decent experience.

The Captain took us to some great locations and it really paid off. We saw two large groups of gray whales (11-15 in each) and a bald eagle on Catalina Island and offshore bottle nose dolphins jumping in our wake. It was warm and beautiful and the crew and Captain were as excited and enthusiastic about our adventure as we were!

I chose to go on the 8 hour tour because I am an avid whale watcher and have and going for 30 years.

I have always had pleasurable experiences on the four hour tours, but the 8 hour tour was absolutely incredible. Within 20 minutes we had already discovered a pod of grey whales. The whales were very active and everybody was able to get fantastic photographs. All in all we saw 45 gray whales, over 200 dolphin ( Bottlenose, Common Long Beak, and Rizzos...) We also saw a multitude of sea lions, posing harbor seals and a bald eagle when we got to Catalina...The captain was fantastic and the crew was wonderful! The food was yummy.

Truly, the boat is just a dream to be on!

best whale watch experience ever... trip of a lifetime!!!

Highly, highly, highly, highly, highly recommend!!!

I believe that you too will have the trip of a lifetime.

My friend and I were pleased with this activity, especially at the Tuesday 1/2 price, which we thought was well worth it. The captain (?) gave a very informative talk through out the trip, so we learned a lot about whales. When we came upon a whale(s), the captain maneuvered the boat so as to help us better see the whale and other sea animals. The captain was respectful of the animals, not to disturb them too much with the boat.

Meeting Our Big Water Neighbors

The trip on the Dana Pride from Dana Wharf was two hours of excitement and pleasure. We saw a pod of four whales that we followed for a long time, watching them surface and showing us their backs and tails and sometimes a snout or two. At one point we had pods on both sides of the boat. Dolphins surfed in our wake, and the Captain was alert to do some rapid U-turns so we could watch them play. The Captain also displayed his love of his work, his environment, his knowledge of the animals that he passed along to his passengers. Many of the gray whale facts were very surprising, and reminded me of elephant characteristics that I do know something about. I didn't know that dolphins "see" things via echo-location, similar to sonogram operations in medicine.

Loved this whole trip in every way. What a great bargain, too!

It was a cold and very foggy day but the experience we had exceded the weather. Even Capt. Dave was enthused as we saw a pod of 4 grey whales one with a white fluke. Toward the end of our outing another pod joined in too. The few dolphins that joined us were fun to watch surfing our wake. It was a good show and the narrative was very educational. I've had several other trips and enjoy learning more each time. I feel so blessed to live here and being able to see the ocean whales, sea lions, dolphins and more.

Mega pod of dolphins!

Even tho it was very overcast, the crew did their best to find us some whales. Captain has a radio network with fishermen, etc., and found us a mother and calf. Also found about 2000 dolphins and got to watch them play for a long time.

Mid week is great..the boat wasn't crowded and everyone could see.

The captain of our boat 1/18/15 at 12:00 was very informative about the ocean life we saw. Not only were we lucky enough to see whale and a mega pod of dauphin but I also came away feeling totally educated.

The instructors provided much education on the whales and Dolphins. Surprised to see a Drone..it helped giving a close look at the whales. I wished that the Drone would also show the Dolphins because they are so entertaining !

we would take the tour again and bring more family. Thanks to all of the staff.

When I opened the video there were Google ads..None that I appreciated. perhaps from my computer and not your business.
