Foggy Day
Tue, Feb 11, 14   10:00 AM janesking Female 70+ Local Family Without Children
Unfortunately, it was so foggy that we couldn't see much of anything. Captain Jack was unable to look for animal activity & of course the other boats were in the same situation. He was very sorry & we got rain checks for a better day.

A once in a lifetime day for seeing whales
Sun, Feb 9, 14   3:00 PM BLStone Unspecified Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Unfortunately, this kind of whale watching tour doesn't happen every day.

The boat, crew, etc. were all great however, and that will happen (or should) every time.

our trip did not see any whales, morning. trip did. the crew took was good and we saw sea lions sleeping on the buoys and dolphins performing around the ship. the dolphins made up for no whales. understand the whale migration is almost over at time of year we went. we would do it again

Fun and informative

My wife and I were visiting her sister in Orange Co. and she suggested this activity as something new to do while there. While we had seen whales in Hawaii , it was from a distance(hiway overlook), so it was pretty cool being close and on the water with them this time. There were 4 whales total sighted and followed. It's also always fun to have dolphins playing along side the boat. I would recommend for anyone who can handle a few large swells on occasion while on the water.

Gray whales & a megapod of dolphins
Sat, Feb 1, 14   2:30 PM judithLV Female 50-59 Combination Family Without Children
I have never seen so many dolphins together at one time; hundreds leaping and cavorting.

The whales (3) showed their tails. Sun was shining, it was a great 2 hours.

This was a great way to entertain my family who came in from out of town! Everyone enjoyed the cruise and had a wonderful time. The crew was friendly and very knowledgeable with the local marine life. We will definitely return in the near future!

We saw a California Gray Whale from up close. Wow!! The highlight was the hundreds of common dolphins swimming and jumping around the boat. This trip is a must do while in Southern California!

Enjoyable Trip in Calm Weather

We saw a few whales, but they didn't show much above the water, but we were there to observe them in their natural habitat, so it was fine. The captain on our boat was really nice and well-informed. He kept us entertained as he tried to find us the whales to view without disrupting their migration.

We very much enjoyed the trip and the commentary

We take this trip about once a year, and always thoroughly enjoy it, whether or not we see whales. This time we did. The only essential ingredient is good weather. The trip on the sparkling water, with the beautiful coastline and sun overhead, is well worth the price (and half price is even better).

Great experience

Very nice facility, easy check in and a nice boat. Crew was great and the captain was very personable and informative while we were out. The coast is beautiful and well worth the trip just by itself. Seeing wildlife was great. We saw a whale and some very acrobatic dolphins. I learned a lot on the trip and would highly recommend.

Beautiful ride down the shore
Sat, Jan 4, 14   12:00 PM lonnidavis Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
I would recommend this activity as you get a beautiful ride down the shore and get to see lots of dolphins and sea otters! I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see a whale but understand you have no control over that however definitely worth the trip.
