Educational experience

We took the 2 hour boat trip and it was so nice it didn't seem that long out on the water. So exciting that we actually viewed a whale. The entire boat was caught up in the moment that we all exclaimed "there it is" each time the whale surfaced. I wish we would have been able to come upon a group of whales but it was still an experience to remember.

Saw a whale waaaaay far away, very disappointed

My husband and I decided to save money by going on a 8 am tour. Which was a huge mistake. Apparently, that early morning tour is designed for the captain to find out the location of the whale for his next tours for the day. So we pretty much chased one whale for a while, but the closest we could get to it was probably 1000 feet. Once every 10 minutes some of the guests would exclaim and point their finger at the direction where they just saw a whale, and the captain would steer that direction. And by that time the whale was gone, and the chase continued. It was so damn far, that even the captain couldn't say what type of the whale it was.

We saw a bunch of dolphins, but that was not what we went there for. I would rather save the money and watch whales on youtube.

My recommendation though is - do not go on an early morning tour. It's nothing but a test tour to locate the whales.

Years ago I had a boat in Dana Harbor and went out to see the whales. This trip far surpassed that. My wife had never seen the whales even though we just got back from a 12 day cruise in the Sea of Cortez. The speaker had lots of really good information and by picking up the North bound whales down South by Cotton's Point and following them all the way North of the marina we really had a good opportunity to observe the whales behavior. Excellent adventure!

Even though it was a day of light rain, our trip was fantastic. We had the pleasure of seeing a large pod of dolphins, and two whales that let us watch them for more than 20 minutes. if you go when it is raining, don't forget to bring a poncho, or some kind of raincoat. You will love it!

Our captain and crew worked hard to get us in position to see 2 gray whales. One whale did a 3/4 jump up out of the water. Also saw many common dolphin and sea lions. Captain was very informative about the whales and dolphin we saw. Great trip, Thank You Mike from York, PA

It was a great day on the water! Staff advised that whales were in a "transition period", so maybe / maybe not on a sighting... but it turned out we saw one whale within 10 minutes of leaving the dock and followed it for a long time. Then another whale a bit later... along with a hundred or so dolphins Really fun. Kept the kids attention for the whole two hours. Good Bloody Marys too..!

We followed 2 gray whales for a long time and then we came up on a mega pod of dolphins which was equally exciting and even more entertaining. Our guide was very informative and enthusiastic. It was well worth the money for what we saw.

The captain of our cruise was OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Extremely knowledgeable about the marine life and enthusiastic about sharing that knowledge. Our whole family learned a ton because of him. We also were in the midst of a super pod of dolphins which is a sight I will never ever forget.
