Just returned home from an AMAZING weekend spent fishing and whale watching with the wife for her birthday. I must say the staff and crew go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a memorable time and are very friendly. Hanapa'a (Jason K.) even sang Happy Birthday to the wife on the boat and played his ukulele, a moment she will never forget. We will be returning before the end of the summer for another fabulous weekend on the water! Thanks again Dana Wharf Sportfishing

Enjoyed the ride and observing sealife. Captain seemed very knowledgeable and the crew was professional and friendly. Unfortunately the whales didn't want to come up much above the surface that day but we did see them!

Nice trip, lots of information provided by captain. Didn't see a lot, but what we did see the captain did a good job of getting us close and positioning so everyone could see! Would do again.

It was great experience. The dolphins were amazing. They swam under the boat. The whale was elusive but we saw parts of it. Majestic

We went out on a Monday in March. The weather was beautiful, which helped a lot, but really our guide was very interesting and informative. He kept our interest while working to find the best spots for us to watch the whales in their natural habitat. The company is very respectful of the sea life. Overall, we can't wait to go out again on our next trip to the area.

Captain was friendly and knowledgable. Used info from previous trip to find whales for us almost immediately. Very informative about animals and sealife. Also found many dolphins, seabirds, and sealions. We traveled with the whales for almost an hour. Phenomenal experience. Very convenient location and easy access for me as I use a cane.

Drop the hook ten minutes. From the dock over a kelp bed...

I was really let down after driving three hours. To get there and spending a.hundread and twenty bucks i wouldn,t reommend this to anybody ..we live in a. RV park and a lot of folks ask about the trip ...i don ,t think you will be hearinh from them

We had a fantastic trip off Dana Point. My husband and I were vacationing in So. California. A happy retreat from N.Y. This was a real highlight for us. We had the opportunity to see courting among 3 gray whales, literally right next to The Dana Pride. Extraordinary. Worth every penny!

The boat was very clean and well maintained, the crew was exception and the Captain was knowledgeable about marine wildlife and was passionate about educating us -- it was an amazing experience. We saw 2 Gray Whales, some dolphins and sea lions. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us!

Great trip - saw whales and dolphins

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Dana Wharf whale-watching trip. The captain went out of his way to make certain we saw both whales and dolphins. When he located a large pod of whales, he kept the boat with them, giving those on board ample time to watch and take photos. He brought us right to the edge of the pod, so that the dolphin were literally beside and under the boat. Later he spotted two Minke whales, an unusual species for southern California. One of them breached four times, a rare occurrence, but great for photos. On the return trip, the captain pointed out a grey whale to us. He attempted to bring the boat to where the whale might breach, but the whale stayed submerged. The captain kept the boat out at sea an extra half hour in hopes we would see more grey whales. We were thrilled to see the whales that we did. It was clear the Dana Point crew wants their passengers to have a good experience. We did.

Dana Wharf Whale Watching tour was everything I expected and more. The customer service from the clerks, shipman, and capital was better than expected. They were all friendly, happy and gave you fun facts and lots of information about the whales when we saw them. This was a bucket list item on my list and it was awesome to see the mother and baby whale.
