Wonderful!!!!

My husband and myself were very much thrilled with whole experience. We had previously gone out of San Pedro and Newport Beach. Although the drive from Placentia was farther the overall experience was super!!! We found that the boat was clean and maintained, the staff friendly and very informative when it came to the whole experience. We did not feel crowded into a small space to observe the whales and dolphins. I would actually recommend this Whale Watching Cruise to all my friends. Thanks for the wonderful time on the sea!!!!

Great Day, Great Experience

We took the 10 am cruise and were able to enjoy not only great weather but a terrific experience. Captain was very knowledgable and after leading us to schools of dolphin brought us within photographic distance of several grey whales. Only negative part about the trip was the number of other boats with inexperienced skippers who tended to spook the whales and prevented us from getting a closer look. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable experience.

This was our first time at Dana Point and we really enjoyed the excursion. We were fortunate enough to see whales and the captain was very nice and informative.

Loved seeing fin whales!

Our boat went out at noon on 3/12/10 & we were very lucky to see several fin whales & I was able to snap a photo. One of the crew said the photo only showed about 1/3 of the whale. He estimated that it was probably 75 feet long & weighed 750 tons - Wow - that was a truly awesome adventure. During my previous whale watching event a few years ago, we saw lots of dolphins jumping & swimming alongside our boat, but no whales.

Soothing and invigorating

Our 2 hour trip was an extremely pleasant, with invigorating sea air and watching the ocean with plentiful sea life.

Although no whales were seen, we did see plenty of sea lions and dolphins. I was very impressed by the curteous crew and for giving us an opportunity to return so that we may yet get to see whales.

Great way to see the coast

We were boarded on time - and the boat was very spacious...the crew told folks where to stand to see whales and dolphins, and what to expect as far as variety. So off we went. There were dolphins, but the whales were elsewhere that morning. However, we got a great view of the coast from Dana Point down to probably San Clemente from the water. Sea lions were hunkered down on a harbor buoy, and they were fun to watch as they snuggled together in the sun. All in all, it was a wonderful morning - low key and friendly - and I would definitely go again.

A pleasant way to spend a few hours on the ocean

While it would have been great to see a whale or two, I was happy to see some seals, several lazy dolphins, and a whole lot of interesting birds. The boat was clean, there was plenty of seating inside (although the best place for sightings is the outside railing), and there was a good selection of reasonably priced items in the galley. I will definitely go again!

Just long enough to enjoy sun and sea, the trip was affordable, the crew upbeat and successful in taking us alongside several whales which just broke the water several times.

Just going out on the water was great however the crew were wonderful and entertaining which made it even better. The weather became a little blustery but our guide and narrator was so entertaining that we didn't care. We were unable to see a whale on our trip but we found a feeding frenzy of "simple dolphins". There were probably thirty of them swimming with out boat and darting in an out of the water eating on the Krill that was present. It was an awesome reminder of this beautiful planet we live on. When I came back to land I am determined to make this a bi-weekly or at least monthly experience. To wonderful not to enjoy.

We saw a gray whale as predicted. The highlight, however, was where we found the school of sardines being fed on by about 4 kinds of sea birds, sea lions, and dolphins, all in a broiling frenzy with sardine scales floating on the water. Lots of great close-up pictures! Beautiful day with fairly calm seas.
