Excellent Trip

The catamaran was clean, spacious, new and fast. The crew were warm and welcoming as well as knowledgeable about the whales, dolphins, birds and other wildlife. As we were heading back to port somewhat disappointed that we hadn't seen anything, the captain suddenly noticed two blue whales and we turned back around to follow them. The crew went out of their way to make sure we saw as much as possible, even though we were slightly over our time on the trip. No one cared. We were just thrilled to have seen the whales!

Thoroughly recommended and I would take this trip again.

I live in a beautiful Victoria, BC which has it's own fleet of whale watching boats/etc. -- but to be out on the sunny coast of southern California in a lovely boat with a great crew was fantastic. I, my sister, niece and two cousins from the East Coast had a fabulous time as we watched two greys and tons of dolphins play and feed in the blue water during the very relaxing 2 hours on the Dana Wharf boat. The crew is well informed, friendly and reliable -- very organized and professional. If you don't take the time to go out with the Dana Wharf crew, you've missed a wonderful time!

The tickets are not valid and yet charged $25 on top of what I paid on the website.

I am not at all satisfied with the service .

Enjoyed the trip, captain had another partner on land, watching for whales/dolphins, so we did see many whales. Very simple boat (could use a new coat of paint, but clean). Nice trip.

Whale and Dolphin Watching Adventure Tour

Totally worth the money, especially since I went on a Tuesday evening when it was half price... But it was worth more than full price! It was beautiful!!

The Dolphins were wonderful, the Sea Lions utterly amusing to watch and the whales were breathtaking... I just loved the trip. I would have been happy with just seeing the dolphins and the whole swarm of birds that were feeding, so to actually see a whale, which I wasn't expecting even though it was a whale watching trip, that was simply amazing!!!

Light day for viewing ocean animals, but the crew searched and we found several dophins and a sea lion. Captain Larry shared a lot of information on the species and their habits. Enjoyable cruise on the boat. First time on the ocean. Would recommend it for anyone and hope to be able to go again one day.

Even though we didn't see any whales, the captain was very knowledgeable about where we could find cool animals and interesting facts about all of them. We saw a pod of dolphins, a sunfish and sea lions. One member of our group got sick and they were very helpful. Overall, was a fun experience- one we would quickly do again!

Saw Lots of Dolphins!

Dolphins were very playful with us and the boat. I kept on the "lookout" for a migrating whale....and sure enough I saw it. Pretty far away but still exciting.

This was the highlight of my trip! Dana Wharf is located in a very quiant town and was clean and very well kept. From the moment we bought our tickets, the staff was friendly and very helpful. We bought our tickets early, so we enjoyed a cafe within walking distance before boarding the boat.

Once we boarded, we left promptly, and all of the crew members were very enthusiastic and polite. The guide was very knowledgable on the different animals and migratory patterns, etc.

We did not see any whales, BUT we did see somewhere between 2000-3000 dolphins! It was incredible! We rode with their pod for nearly an hour as they played with the waves off of our boat. It was absolutely beautiful.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. It would be great for families or a group of friends, or even a date! Just remember to bring a light sweater and sunblock!

We didn't see any whales (which we were warned we might not because it was in between seasons) but we did see a ton of dolphins and it was a really nice day on the water.

Whale watching was a little disappointing, as the whales we saw were far away, but we did see a whale rolling over, a fin in the air, and many spouts of water. However, the 20-30 dolphins we saw swimming next to the boat made it worth it!!

everything was there!

That day was wonderful. We saw grey whales (maybe not as close as we were hoping for, but still nice), then on the way back, we were kind of disappointed because that was all, but it turned out that a family of dolphins were passing by. The boat then stop and even turned around so could have a better look. The dolphins were swimming so close to the boat even going under it, it was fabulous. And then we saw sea lions (not seals!!!), that was great too. And we can't forget the pelicans flying so close to us just above the boat, delightful.

And of course the weather was wonderful too, calm sea and blue sky, what else can you ask for!

Thanks for the great experience!

We really enjoyed the whale watching trip. The boat was nice, stafff was very attentive and the sights were great. Even though we only saw one blue whale, we saw a bunch of dolphins and for us that was very entertaining. $40 for two adults is a great price (we went on a Tuesday) and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. All in all, a great outing we will definetly do again.
