Lots of fun!

A friend who has a beach house in Bethany knew we were going to Rehoboth and recommended the Eating Rehoboth walking tour. We signed up with another couple and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great that the restaurant owners/managers came out to talk to us. All of them were very enthusiastic and so proud of the food and drink they were providing. The guides were very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Rehoboth and the restaurants. Only suggestion would be for a wireless mic for the leader and headsets. There was a group of 17 and it was almost impossible to hear if you were in the back of the group when we were on the street with all of the traffic noise. Would highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful time.

Foodie Pleasantly Surprised

The restaurants on your particular tour are a surprise, but you will not be disappointed. There is a wonderful mix of different types of places and the proprietors are anxious to impress you and meet or beat your expectations. Your tour guides are knowledgeable and engaging (and fun !). You will want to return to these places again. Do not hesitate to book this tour as soon as you are able.

Our particular tour included an Italian restaurant where we had freshly-made pasta with a mint pesto and baked pecorino cheese "chips". It was paired with a wonderful white wine. We then enjoyed a couple of Latino-style restaurants, but they could not have been any more different. The first served a "signature" margarita with a spicy sea salt on the rim. They also served lobster and crab ceviche, with salsa and guacamole - yum! The 2nd Latino-style restaurant had a choice of sangria or a margarita and served a great salsa and whole-wheat tortilla chips. They also served their signature pupusas, all while making you feel right at home. The next place was a Mediterranean-style restaurant where we were served an unusually tasty citrus-ginger "martini" and freshly made veal sausage on a navy bean ragu and the house specialty Haricots Verts with gorgonzola. Another surprise was a visit to a Tasting Room, where many in our group made purchases of their favorites. The final restaurant featured the chef-owner demonstrating carving a whole chicken and explaining the many local wild edibles that were to be used in the dish served. The cocktail served was a pomegranate and gin drink with edible spruce. The chef served the most delicious chicken dish that he poached at 150 degrees for an hour and then quickly deep-fried to crisp the skin. It was garnished with the local wild edibles that were previously explained. For dessert a goat cheese and local fresh strawberry was garnished with a liquid nitrogen frozen EVOO. A wonderful surprise finish to a spectacular tour.

Delicious, informative and fun!

My group of six friends had so much fun trying the variety of restaurants and a specialty spice and tea shop. The restaurant hosts were very informative, the cuisine varied and delicious, and our host, Bob, very fun. We already went back to one of the restaurants with other visits planned throughout the summer. We highly recommend this activity for a unique Rehoboth time!

Great way to spend the day
Fri, Jun 5  1:00 PM Crspoonire0 Male 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
The weather was less than ideal so I jumped on the chance to do this. Normally tickets are sold out in advance but due to the poor weather we were able to get these last minute. This is a great way to spend the day and it worked out well for us since it wasn't a beach weather type of day. This is well worth the ticket price and with the revolving places and samples we would do this again.

Tastefully Delightful

It all started with Bob, an amazing food critic with my sense of humor. Our purpose of signing up was to experience new restaurants and experience different food and drink. The afternoon was a culinary delight and ended with chocolate. Who could ask for more. Hope to go again this summer!

Terrific Experience

We have taken many food tours both here in the US and abroad and this one was exceptional. Collette did a great job leading the group and giving us all kinds of information that even regulars to the Rehoboth area didn't know. The restaurant owners were happy to share their love of Rehoboth, their feeling of community and passion about what they do. This tour is a lovely way to spend the afternoon getting to know Rehoboth.

This tour was so much fun! We met a great group of people and thoroughly enjoyed amazing food and drinks. The owner or general manager of each of the six restaurants told us a bit about their restaurant and food we were going to taste. The price of the tour was an exceptional value. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, personable, and fun. I would highly recommend this tour and have every intention of participating in such a tour again.

This was an informal, friendly way to see a side of the resort town that we otherwise would have missed. Presentations by the restaurateurs were gracious and informative. The pace was measured, and the overall experience was very pleasant.

If you are only in town for a few days, this is a great way to sample more local restaurants than just one a day. Also, a great way to learn a little history of Rehobith Beach.

Fun and delicious experience

I had been wanting to do this since it started, but never got around to it. So we got our neighbors and went, and we are so glad that we did. We met with our group and then headed out to the restaurants, with Deb, our leader, pointing out historical points along the way. Every restaurant had a delicious dish and drink, and shared information about their food and philosophy. The last stop was A(muse), where we were treated to a cooking demo by Hari Cameron and a savory and sweet dish. I want to get a group of friends together and do this again!
