The tour was fun and informative. They put a nice twist on group tours by making it a bit of a game show with trivia questions without making you feel uncomfortable or on the spot. Three hours of walking seems overwhelming especially in hilly san francisco but it was leasurly with may stops and mostly down hill. I did enjoy the tour but have to say overall I think it's a bit overpriced.

Guide Tom was a hoot, but also very knowledgeable about SF hisory, architecture, etc. His humor was dry, which we really enjoy! Saw parts of the city, especially Chinatown, into which we would not otherwise have ventured.

A visual history lesson

We learned a lot about the early history of San Francisco while seeing four neighborhoods (Nob Hill, Union Square, Chinatown and North Beach) that arose as the city was built and rebuilt. Our guide was knowledgeable but also entertaining...we enjoyed the jokes and added a few of our own! If you've never been to SF, or even if you live there, you are bound to learn a lot. At the end of the tour, you'll know where to go for great shopping, dim sum and espresso!

Our tour guide knew a ton of San Fran history, so it was a fascinating tour, and we saw areas we never would have found on our own!

AJ was great!

My husband, 14 year old son, and I enjoyed AJ's walking tour of San Francisco! "The Whole Shebang" was both informative and humorous.

I was upset with the "Foot" company that sponsors the tour. I had seen that on a site called Goldstar, tickets were half-off, but only had dates a week past our time in SF. I had asked the representative if there were any discounts, they replied, "No." The very next day, after I had booked, they added my date! ($65 off!) The "Foot" Company said they had no control over Goldstar. After I returned from SF, the "Foot" representative offered me 1/2 off a tour with AJ in the future. I live in Ohio, is that a great offer? No!

AJ - GREAT! The company that sponsors her tour, not so much.

My husband, teenage son, and I greatly enjoyed the "Whole Shebang" walking tour with A.J. as our guide. She was extremely knowledgable about the city of San Francisco. She was also very witty and fun to listen to. I would highly recommend this tour!

I live in Menlo Park and signed myself and two New Zealand friends up for the tour. Even though I'm a local, I don't really know that much about the City so this tour was excellent for giving my friends a good overview and increasing my knowledge of where I live. AJ was wonderful! She was so knowledgeable, personable and fun! We absolutely had a great time. I highly recommend this for locals and tourists alike.

It was a good mix of learning new things, but there was a lot I had discovered already on my own - definitely better to do if you are not familiar with the city.

Definitely not worth the money

My top peeves regarding the tour

1. No idea why it is 45 bucks a pop, when there does not seem to be any costs to the business apart from paying the guide.

2. Nothing funny at all. The guide is knowledgeable but definitely not funny. Better off paying to get in a stand up club to see a real comic act

3. Im sure the walking tour company gets a cut from the local businesses we were taken to. Customers are expected to foot their bills and the guide leaves no opportunity to convey the point that he/she needs to be tipped at the end of the tour.

The comedy led tour was very informative and enjoyable. Made even more so by our fantastic guide AJ. The stop in chinatown for dim sum was fun and well timed. The guide was very knowledgeable and spent focused time with each party in our group.
