Thanks for a great tour. It was an excellent balance of food and history, and the time just flew! As an overseas visitor, I really enjoyed the historical aspects, and Bob our guide was amusing and extremely knowledgeable. Obviously the food was excellent, and a good mix of styles and tastes....and plenty of it. I'd highly recommend this as an activity for those who want to get away from the traditional tourist activities in NY.

A Tasty View of Chelsea

The guide was very informative and fun. The food was superb and well presented. It was a small enough group so that everyone could see and hear and get individual attention. The choice of places to visit was well thought out and gave us a wonderful picture of the market and meat packing area of NYC. I would do it again or try a similar one in another part of the city. Starting out with a delicious cookie from Eleni''s and ending with a dish of pasta from Macelleria left us full and hoping to come back soon. thank you.

Although we were on a tour, it felt like a 'back-door' experience. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it! I enjoyed visiting the famous restaurants and getting an 'insider's look'. I think this was the perfect amount of history, local insight, culture, and food! Diana was a fantastic tour guide.

We'd highly recommend the Food Tour of Chelsea/Meatpacking District. Great stops along the way... delicious (and ample!) food... interesting sites... and if you're lucky enough to get Curt as your guide, it'll be a guaranteed highlight of your trip to the Big Apple.

Our group included my mother-in-law who is 81, my hubby, our daughter who is 30ish and myself (50ish). Everyone agreed it was a great way to learn more about NYC dining options while learning more about the city itself. Our guide, Diana, was polite, entertaining and thoughtful. A wonderful way to spend 3 hours in your wondrous city!

My husband and I don't usually like to take tours when we travel. We are more of looking for the adventure and the non-tourist stuff of the places we visit. Since we were going to be in NYC only for the weekend and being this our first time as "tourists" (we usually visit for business) we decided to give this tour a chance and we were so happy we did.

Our tour guide was great!!, he filled us with amazing facts of the places we visited and gave us some extras that we really enjoyed.

The Chelsea Market is small but great historic place to visit if you like wonderful fresh food. Everything we tasted was delicious and enough to skip lunch. We also had the opportunity to catch some celebrities eating there, we spotted Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo's Fire) having gelato with his family.

Al in all a great tour experience that you should really consider!!.

Three of us completed this tour on 01 May which exceeded our expectations. We had a great tour guide and he was very down to earth, knew so much about the different shops we went to and the owners/history behind the shops and how they became sucessful.

Incredibly well organised.

I thought we would be the only youngish people on the tour (early to late 30s) and we had others on the tour of similar if not younger age group.

There is a bit of walking involved so good walking shoes is recommended - but its at a reasonable pace and not too fast.

The tour also caters to vegetarians and food allergies - you just need to give them advance notice of this.

The only regret we had was that we didnt book another one. Next time, we will book two or three as we ended up going back to a few of the shops we went to the next day to sample more goodies.

My husband and I thouroughly enjoyed our food tour through the Meat Packing District. It was our first morning in NYC and a great introduction to the city and the food on offer. We have recommended this tour to our friends and would happily take another tour when next in NYC.
