This was a wonderful tour. Our guide new his way around and had a few extra tastings that were listed on the tour. He was very funny and excited about what he was showing us. It was unfortunate that we didn't have time to explore the area on our own because after the tour we certainly could have found our way around quite easily. That just means we have to go back!!

Recently participated in the Chelsea/Meat Packing district tour with Kurt as the tour guide. Kurt was an absolutely fantastic leader whose knowledge of the area was terrific. He took the time to acknowledge each participant and involved everyone in the tour. An extremely enjoyable (and tasty) activity that I will definitely recommend to others.

We had Cindy as our tour guide and she was great! Very knowledgeable and enjoys what she does. Always impresses me when someone likes their job, doesnt matter what it is.

I am a history/foodie person myself so I found it very engaging. A couple of other ppl in my group werent such history people but still enjoyed listening and absorbing the culture of chelsea market.

we loved the market itself and stayed back for a bit to do more shopping afterwards, and come back for lunch the next day.. GREAT TOUR.

If you are in any way interested in food, this is one activity you won't want to miss! It's a great way to discover Chelsea Market and get to taste all sorts of fantastic food.

Our guide, Cindy, was full of interesting facts about the Market and the surrounding neighbourhood, and she was incredibly funny and sweet. A good portion of the tour takes place inside Chelsea Market, so the weather is not too much of an issue and you get to sit down every once in a while, so it's not too hard on the feet. Also, no one's allowed to shop during the tour, so as to keep a good pace going, and since the tour ends a couple of feet away from the Market, you can easily go back to stock up on all the delicious things you've just tasted. You get to eat at about 8 or 9 places, so you do eat a lot, make sure not to have a big meal before you do the tour!

I've done the Greenwich Village tour last year, and I would recommend both to anyone who wants to discover New York through all these amazing little gourmet shops!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The food was fantastic and the history lesson was equally so. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour.

This was my third Foods of NY tour and it was just as good as all the others. This was my second tour of the chelsea market and it was nice to see the changes to the market but it was also good to see somethings don't change - the yummy food!

Bob was very knowledgable and entertaining. He had lots of information to share and made the tour very enjoyable. There were 2 people in our group that had never been to NY and the Chelsea Market tour was the highlight of their trip.

The tours are always good value and informative my only complaint I have is you don't have more of them!

Keep up the good work. Thanks

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip and an absolute must! Last time I visited NYC the Meat Packing District was still being transformed and I didn't spend any time in the area. Taking this tour taught us all so much about the history of the area, we got to taste some GREAT food and visit some really interesting shops. Not only that, but our tour guide was fantastic and pointed some fabulous restaurants for dinners, lunches, etc. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time in that area for the rest of our trip. The tour was well worth every penny!

We booked this tour online before we left home not really knowing what to expect. We knew we would be eating, walking and enjoying the sights of the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District. We were blown away by the Tour Guide, Kurt. Everyone in our group loved his sense of humor and his generosity. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that appreciates good food, history, humor and a little exercise. Three hours went by so fast and we were left wanting to know more about the people, the food and the history of New York City.

Thanks for a great tour. It was an excellent balance of food and history, and the time just flew! As an overseas visitor, I really enjoyed the historical aspects, and Bob our guide was amusing and extremely knowledgeable. Obviously the food was excellent, and a good mix of styles and tastes....and plenty of it. I'd highly recommend this as an activity for those who want to get away from the traditional tourist activities in NY.
