An excellent introduction to Chelsea Market and the meatpacking area for those who did not know of its existance before going on the tour.

Our 3rd tour with FTNY. Very enjoyable way to see parts of the city, learn some history and taste the local fare. Highly recommended! Kurt is knowledgeable and entertaining (aka "wired"), making for a fun day!

We loved the tour, but what made it so special was the tour leader, Cindy. She was high energy, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely do another tour with her.

We really enjoyed finding out about something (Chelsea Market) that we did not previously know. We come to New York once a year, and always try to do something different, and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Cindy.

Curt, our guide, was enthusiastic, maintained our interest, and overall was wonderful. This was our second food tour (some of us went on the Greenwich Village tour last year), and I would highly recommend it.

There were eleven of us on the tour. We enjoyed learning about Chelsea Market as well as an area of Manhattan we were not familiar with. I hope you can add new sections of NYC for food tours--perhaps something in Brooklyn?

We (2 couples) really thought this tour was outstanding. Our tour leader, Kurt, was outstanding - he made a very good tour great. He is informative, hilarious, communicative and empathetic with every person in the group (and even learned all of our 16 names to boot!!).

The food aspect of this tour was super. We were treated to many, many varied and delicious "goodies" and I'm sure everyone left sated and happy. This was the best of a number of similar tours we have taken and we obviously would heartily endorse it.

Very friendly merchants and yummy samplings-many more than expected.

Our host made it fun and added lots of side notes.

We enjoyed the food samples. But we particularly enjoyed the excellent historical background of the Chelsea and Meatpacking area of the city by our enthusastic and knowledgable guide.

Bob was our guide. He resided in lower Manhattan most of his life and knew the area exceptiionally well. He provided details with dates and the significant names from the beginning of Chelsea Market to today throughout his presentation. Bob was very friendly, outgoing and clearly answered all of the tour members' questions.

Bob does other types of tours in NYC and I plan to return and request him for some of these tours as well.

We travel to NYC at least once a year and have never explored this area of the city. What fun! We learned a lot. Bob. our guide, was knowledgeable and very enjoyable to be with. And, as your description states, we most certainly did not need lunch afterwards! We have already recommended this tour to our friends.
