A great way to see a different part of Manhattan

Outstanding three hours. My wife and I were in NYC with another couple for the weekend and this was recommended to us by friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiasm of Kurt, our guide. He gave us a wonderful history of the Meatpacking District and the evolution of Chelsea Market. Our "small bites" turned out to be more like a "five course degustation menu". We would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys food and history and loves New York. We enjoyed going back and shopping at many of the places we toured and felt like "seasoned" New Yorkers.

We enjoyed the opportunity to visit Del Posto and returned that evening after theatre for the Prix Fix menu and it was outstanding. Thank you for showing us a different part of Manhattan.

Kudos to Kurt and the Chelsea Market Tour!

A Hit Despite the Weather

How lucky to take the Chelsea Market tour on a day when the weather was miserably cold and windy. Since the greater part of the tour was indoors, we could enjoy the experience without being uncomfortable. Curt was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and amusing.

We now know the ChelseaMarket area pretty darn well..Saw both SaraBeth and the "High Line" on TV the next day!! Our guide conveyed her love for this area, and as true Foodies, we loved seeing the source for the restaurant treats, such as black trumpet mushrooms. The time flew by, and I recommend this to all!

We felt as though we had discovered a real New York City treasure. Even the New Yorkers in our group were excited to discover the Chelsea Market. Darryl was a great guide and we all enjoyed the tour very much.

My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. We plan to take some of your other food tours on our next visit to NYC. The tour guide (Kurt) was enthsiastic and very knowledgable.

We have two (constructive we hope) criticisms:

1) We would have appreciated earlier start times. Our tour started at 11:00AM and we had tickets to a broadway show at 2:00. Kurt was very helpful telling us when to leave and where to catch a cab (we made the show on time). But had the tour started at 10:30, or even 10, we would not have had to cut the end of the tour. As many NYC visitors do attend afternoon shows, this would be a plus.

2) The salt tasting, was not of any particular interest to us - you could easilyskip that one.
