Our guide was Cindy - she was wonderful. Well-informed and entertaining without engaging in the idiotic tour guide practices like making us respond in unison! I will take all my out of town visitors on this tour. It is a great intro to high end New York food purveyors. If guests are here only for a weekend, it is perfect, since it introduces them to so many. If they are here for several days, it is a great start and provides lots of excellent tips on a great variety of places to eat during the rest of the stay.

Before we took the Chelsea Market tour we wondered how three hours could possibly be filled up!! Not only did the three hours fly by but we wished the tour could have gone on for more!! Curt, our guide, was fantastic!! He was funny and personable and had all of our names memorized before we even walked to the first store!! The samples from each of the venues were more than generous and delicious. We loved seeing the nearby restaurants, the B&B, and the view from the top of the hotel. All in all, it was one of the best tours we have ever been on--and we've done a few!! I would recommend it to anyone whether you are a foodie or not!! Please keep Curt in your employ!!

Our host, Kurt, was superbly prepared for this event. He has a knock-out personality!

He was most generous with information and seemed thrilled to be sharing "his New York" with us.

We learned a lot about this area, we would not have gone into the buildings we went it to, because it look like they were just warehouses. It was a revelation. The food was awsom. We had so much to eat ,very littte walking in between the different resturants and specialty shops. It was fun. We met people from New York that did not know that this was even here. So we felt special that we discovered it together.

Tour was great and having moments of sitting helped make it through the 3 hrs. It was great getting to know all the food options available in the Market. The tour guide was charmingly witty.

We were entertained by our clever, witty, food knowledgeable, guide Kurt. He made the tour!

The food information and tastings were very good and I would not have ventured into the Chelsea Market area if I had not signed up for the tour, so I was glad that I did.

I took the Greenwich Tour 2 years ago and really enjoyed it because it included not only the food but history of the area and architecture as well. It was a cold day for our Chelsea tour so we were inside for 2 +hours ( had to carry coat and bag) which was okay, but it was nice to walk outside and especially nice to see the inside of the B&B.

But again, Kurt was terrific.
