Most informative - enjoyed culture and history as much as food - did not appreciate tour guide soliciting tips at beginning of tour - he was certainly woth a tip and I would have done voluntarily - tackey to suggest.

We enjoyed the food tour and learning all the history of the Market and the surrounding area. Having places to sit were really appreciated, since we are older, but there wasn't ever enough seating for the entire group. We felt there should have been more diverse offerings at some of the places we toured. Our tour guide was excellent!

We had no idea of the history of this area of New York. We signed up for the tour because we had enjoyed previously taking the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour 2 years ago.

This was equally as interesting and fun - We think the food tasting may have even been more tasty and we though Greenwich Village was wonderful!

Our guide Bob was interesting, knew lots of information, and had a very enjoyable and pleasant sense of humor. Even though it was a warm day, the tour was not strenuous and the amount of time and walking were just about right.

We would recommend this tour to anyone.

A highlight of our recent trip to New York was a tour of the Chelsea Market . We enjoyed hearing about the changes that had taken place in the meatpacking district in recent years and the creation of the Chelsea Market.

The tour was well planned and carried out. The tastings gave us good variety and our guide was very knowledgeable. He gave a great deal of information in a nice, relaxed way. Food, stores, restaurants, history - he covered it all and yet we never felt rushed. We were able to ask questions and we had confidence in his answers.

Other members of the group proved to be pleasant and easy to get along with, making the whole experience one to remember and recommend.

Thank you for a really enjoyable afternoon.

One of the best tours we took in New York

Our tour guide, Curt, was so enthusiastic and informative. The 3 hour walking tour

went by too fast. Not only did we learn about the food of NY but also architecture, high cost of living in NY and neighborhood changes. We highly recommend this tour.

My "girls" loved it!

I brought a group of 30-something ladies (and my 30-something daughter) who have been together as a group for 13 years. I thought they would love the food aspect of the tour, and they did. Our guide, Darrell, was quite pleasant and articulate and funny. The only change I would make is to go directly to the hotel rooftop and skip the tour part on the walk there, which was just mentioning showrooms and restaurants and Coyote Ugly's bar. To me this was the least interesting part of the tour. I loved the history of the building and how it was converted to shops, and of course the food sampling (best lobster bisque I've ever had!) was wonderful. Lots of bang for your buck!

We had a great guide who knew the history of the buildings and the areas. Sampling products at various stores was another great feature. We could not have done and seen as much if we were on our own. We may do this again on our next trip to N.Y.

I have lived in New Jersey all of my life, but I happen to see the article in the Star Ledger in June and thought it looked interesting. I calle for my reservation and then also asked a friend if she would be interested. We had a great time. Curt made the tour. He is so cheery, knowledgeable and considerate. I'd recommend this tour to everyone - local and tourtist. It was just great

We thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday afternoon with our guide. He was very informative, lots of fun to be with, and made our entire group feel lucky to have him as our guide. The tastings were great. We had beautiful weather and the tour outside of the Chelsea Market was interesting, and delightful.

A few years ago, my sister and I took the Greenich Village Food Tour and were totally wowed by it. Since then, we have both sent friends to take the tour. This one just wan't as good. Our guide had a pleasant personality, but his lines seemed "canned" and his focus seemed to be on passing out the food, not filling in quite so many details. He filled his time telling us to walk around the different stores while he set up the next hand out. He told us several times to come back in five years when the area would be really changed.

We liked the chance to go on the roof top hotel observation deck, but would have enjoyed a few more details about the new or established restaurants in the area and, maybe, a peak into a couple of them. When I got home and read your flyer, I realized there were some mighty fascinating restaurants that he told us nothing about.

The guide, additonally, made no mention of the art gallerys which we had been told were in the Chelsea area. After the tour, we wondered where they are.

The food tastings were good and generous. We especially likee the gelati.

An opportunity to view the studios of the food net work would have been a great addtion to the tour!
