Wonderful! Bob did a fantastic job - a tour not only foodies would enjoy, but everyone! A little slice of history, delivered in an entertaining fashion...we loved it!

I had been referred to Food Tours of NY by a friend who did the West Village on and loved it. My mom and I decided to try the Chelsea Market tour and haven't stopped talking about it and recommending it to friends and family. Diana, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The overall tour was very interesting, well-paced, and covered a lot of ground (there was a decent amount of walking but we really did talk about each vendor in the Chelsea Markets as well as a few in the surrounding area). The food was delicious and definitely enough for lunch. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, local or not, just looking for a fun afternoon in NY unlike one that you'd usually stumble upon. :)

We have been on & very much enjoyed the Greenwich Village tour & had high hopes for this one as well. We were not disappointed! The biggest difference was this tour was more packed with history & we did not visit a large area of the Meatpacking District. That being said, it was a very enjoyable time & we all felt like we learned a lot we never would have learned without readying a pretty thick book on the area. Our tour guide, Bob was informative, enteretaining and very accomodating to the group. The food was fabulous & we will definately be back to shop at some of the businesses we visited. These tours help NYC seem very personal and I would highly recommend it! Added bonus of the tour was time spent on the new High Line Trail. This would be a perfect crappy waether activity but our weather was perfect - ask for Bob & you will feel like you are in your own private history class of NYC accompanied by some awesome food! Well worth the price - actually it is a real baragin.

I heard about the Chelsea Market tour from my friends that recently visited NY. My sisters and I were in NY to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We went on the tour on her birthday. This will always be a day we cherish and remember. Great food, interesting history and great company. We highly recommend this tour, particularily on a warm summer day!

My 15 year old son and I went on the Chelsea Market/Meat Packing District tour on 8/5/10. We both thought it was one of the highlights of our trip to New York. It was just the right combination of information and eating. One tip -- the first stop is for a cookie which was delicious but it was also big and filling. Your guide will give you a little bag for the cookie if you want to save it for later -- this is the only stop where you can save the food for later and I recommend doing it or you will be too full to enjoy the food by the time you get to the final stop.

My 12 year old duaghter and I took this tour last week and had a wonderful time. The Chelsea Market was fun to explore, as was the meat packing district. The food was also good. I would recommend for friends. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusaistic, although I did feel she was not so interested in interacting with us as she was in getting through the tour. With that said, the tour was still great. We will plan to do again in another area someday!
