Awesome Tour

This was our third tour with Food Tours of NY, and it was just as good as the first two but somewhat different. This one didn't seem quite as history-oriented, perhaps because the neighborhood as a destination is much more recent. But the tour was great. The tastings were delicious and much larger than on the other tours (although our tour guide said the food tastings on the other tours were being revamped). Our group was very small so we were able to cover more territory, and I especially enjoyed stepping inside some well-known restaurants such as Morimoto, Spice Market, and Del Posto. Our guide was awesome--knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. He was the best guide we've had on any of the tours, and they've all been good. I highly recommend!

This is the best way to learn about NYC! I've been on all of the tours except the Chinatown tour. I most recently went on the Meatpacking tour for a 2nd time because I brought 2 friends along and wanted them to experience it. They loved it so much that they will be coming back for more tours and telling their friends and family all about it. Our tour guide was fabulous! Thank you so much!!!

I took my best friend for her birthday. We orginally had the soho tour scheduled in Jan, but had to do some rescheduling. So glad we chose meatpacking tour. I am still telling people about it, Loved all the places we went to, all the samples we had, and also we had a great guide (cindy), who gave us a history of meatpacking district as well. And i have the attention span of a 3 year old and i learned alot. If you are a lover of the meatpacking district or just looking for a trendy upcoming area in nyc def. do this tour!

My wife and I went on the Chelsea Market / Meat Packing District Tour on Saturday July 11th and we had a great time.

Our tour guide Kurt was knowledgeable, energetic and fun. The people at the shops and restaurants we visited were all very nice and accomodating.

I was actually surprised at the amount of food we received. I am a big eater and expected to need lunch afterwards but the amount of food they gave us was more than enough.

I would recommend this tour for both locals and visitors to New York.

The tour was interesting, our tour guide was funny, had lots of information for us. I liked that he remembered all of our names within minutes. Great job, we'll be back for another tour. The food we tasted was delicious and so much more than we expected. We read on tripadvisor about you guys and are happy that we were part of it. The three hours didn't feel long and it wasn't boring once. Again so much food.... very yummy.

Kurt was our tour guide, and he was lots of fun, and had a wonderful knowledge of the food, the area and the history. The food was delicious and very certainly there was alot of food for the tour to enjoy. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves food, and wants an interesting way to eat, learn about New York and be entertained for three wonderful hours.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, she answered all our questions and we had a lot. She was quick on her feet even though one foot wwas in a walking cast. she took us to terrific places of NY history, places we never knew existed. We loved every part of the tour especially the eating places - a wonderful blend of history and contemporary culture in one afternoon. Before you know it you too will feel like a member of the nieghborhood. This was our second tour with Foods of NY - just terrific. see you on the next one !

I have been on three food tours in NYC. The tours have been informative and well constructed. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in historical facts, attention to details, want to "eat on the run" and enjoy being on their feet for 3 consecutive hours. The food is plentiful and delicious.
