Excellent and Informative

This was my first trip to the UK. The trip had been recommended by a friends son who is resident in NY. It was excellent and our guide was so informative. It was all that I had expected and more. If you decide to go on this trip there are so many wonderful tasting sessions that you would not need breakfast - perhaps just a coffee.

Would recommend to all my friends and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Curt, went out of his way to learn our names, give us extra highlights of the area, and provide needed 'potty' stops. Getting to taste foods from a variety of food groups, and different eating establishments added to the enjoyment of the tour.

Would highly recommend it to other folk. Infact we did. Informed our local relatives about it and also some other friends in the area.

Next time we are in town, would like to take some of the other tours that your company offers. Thanks for the nice time and good eats.

the highlight of our vacation

This was a very fun and informative tour. Our guide, Curt, was very knowledgeable about the area, the foods and Chelsea Market itself. He was super enthusiastic, entertaining and obviously loved what he was doing. He has a tremendous rapport with all the merchants in the Market as well as in the Meatpacking District. I was very impressed with his ability to remember everyone's name and where we were all from and there were 16 of us on this tour! I would reccomend this tour very highly, especially if you can have Curt as your guide. Be sure that you are hungry when you go because otherwise you won't be able to enjoy the wide variety of foods that you can sample!

The tour was informative, well organized, and friendly. Curt, our guide was great. He is knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. The locals are elements of any tour. The guide makes the experience good or bad. With a guide like Curt you get more than what you hoped for. This is one of the best guided tours I ever been on. And, I've been on tours all over the world. Thanks, Curt!

Very disappointed with our Guide

We would have had an incredible time had it not been for our very obnoxious and nasty guide. The tour itself is amazing and well worth the money. We were two families with two children each and it was very apparent the tour guide did not like children. If children are not welcome than it needs to be made known. Our children were all very upset with the entire situation as were we. We were left behind on many occasions because the guide was running behind on her time schedule and was rushing us from place to place. It was a freezing cold rainy day and we needed to get jackets on the kids before heading outside to do the meat packing part of the tour and she was across the street before we could even get the kids ready and out the door.

As a business owner my self, the net is that individuals such as our tour guide can cause ireperable damage to your business. Customer experience is key to a successful business and this individual clearly left such a negative feeling that I had to share with you so that in the future you can continue to prosper.

Great Tour!

We enjoyed the tour and have already recommended it to friends. I would not recommend bringing children on this tour. There were four school aged children who were not interested after the first stop and really took away from the tour for the rest of the group. So get a babysitter and enjoy the day with some friends! There was plenty of good food and intreresting facts for the tourist or local alike. We live locally and couldn't believe the history behind a building we see all the time! We will definitely be back to enjoy the food and scenery.

a fun way to tour a neighborhood.

We happened to join the tour on a stormy day. The tour did not start well when a family of 8 was 10 minutes late. Diana, our guide, had to situate them, re-organize and rush back on schedule. This group of 8 had 4 children under 12 (one in stroller). Based on what I observed, young children in a group are not suited for this type of tour. They were eager to get to the food, asked random questions, and jostled around the adults and at times, they lost interest.. It was a challenging uncomfortable, distracting and tense 3 hours between Diana, the parents and the rest of the tour group.

The content of the tour was fun, interesting and veyr enjoyable. Beside having the ability to taste various food offerings, we saw the inside of the Morimoto and Del Posto restaurants. It would have been great if we could have seen the Food Network stages or kitchens.

My daughter (24yrs old) and I I would do the tour again at a different neighborhood.

The food was good, our guide was informative, and we enjoyed the neighborhood sites. I plan on taking the tour in another neighborhood soon, and I've recommended this to friends and family.

I took the tour as an individual since my husband was in town for business and couldn't come with me. It was wonderful - I got to see a historic part of the city, taste some great food, and meet other enthusiastic foodies on the tour.

Our guide, Diane, was everything you would hope a guide to be - knowledgeable, fun, warm, and she kept us moving at a good pace. I can't wait to try another tour the next time we visit!
