My trip to NYC was such a whirlwind I am sad that I don't remember the name of our tour guide. He did an excellent job remembering our names throughout the entire tour. I don't usually like guided tours because the tour guides are cheesy and lame - but ours was fantastic. He was engaging, enthusiastic and as the tour wore on, he made an effort to chat with each of us. I was pleased to find that he was born in the same province that I currently reside in, and that he'd also lived in Vancouver (I was born in Seattle). He was easy to connect with and full of knowledge and passion for Chelsea, and New York in general. Loved him. And the sweet pictures of his pug!

This tour was great! We feel that we got to know another area of NYC. Our tour guide, Kurt, was very knowledgeable. We love Chelsea Market! The Highline walk was interesting, and the lunch in the Meatpacking district was tasty! Overall, there was definitely enough food to call it a lunch. Our tour was at 10:00 a.m.. If you do this early tour, have a smaller breakfast, but do eat something. After the tour, you may want to go back to the market for some delicious items and if the weather permits, bring it on the highline and hang out! (There is seating along the highline, and one area of 'stadium' seating.) They accommodate vegetarians!

Our group of five were very pleased with the Chelsea Market tour. What was a rainy day turned out great as most of our time was inside .Outside we were able to duck under cover as the old buildingss have great metal overhangs that cover the sidewalks. The "old" buildings and cobblestone streets return you to a different time, you don't feel like you are still in NYC!

To Our tour guide Bob does a great job! He is funny, full of information and did a great job entertaining us! We stopped at several eateries and must say none of us could say we were hungry after this three hour adventure! We are looking forward to visiting the Chelsea Market and Highline again the next time we visit!

We LOVED this tour! Our guide Curt was so funny and informative. We got to eat lots of delicious food, while Curt gave us lots of juicy tidbits about the history of the area and the farmers. I would go again tomorrow!!

Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District Tour

Our tour of the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District took us primarily through Chelsea Market with a detailed history of the area and interesting anecdotes about the merchants- previous and current. We had an enthusiastic and animated tour guide (Darryl) who clearly enjoys interacting with people and imparting his knowledge of the area. We were a group of six (four twenty-somethings and two fifty-somethings) and all agreed that the selection of sampled foods was perfect- enough contrast in flavors and food groups to make everyone happy. This was our third walking food tour with this company which clearly indicates our satisfaction with the tours.

We enjoyed learning about the history of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District. Diana "banana" was great and very enthusiastic. The food tasting did provide a taste (tip) of the market definitely wanting more! We actually went back to The Lobster Place to try the different soups!! We really enjoyed the last stop at Macelleria - the Garganelli, oxtail ragu was unbelievable!!!
