Great tour guide, informative both insde & outside the market. All of the organistions were prepared for our visit and the sampling was lush. As a foodie and cafe owner it was inspirational and fascinating.

We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Adults thought it was excellent - very informative and good value as you eat your way around. The teenagers thought it was good but a bit long for them. Our tour guide was fabulous - very informative and entertaining. I would strongly recommend it.

Our guide (Cindy) was great. Very knowledgeable about the area and very enthusiastic. Very witty too which is always a plus point.. It was an ideal place for a tour, especially since we were able to walk the High Line afterwards. This was an added bonus. The only recommendation I would make to Cindy is to start the tasting somewhere other than the cupcake bakery. The sweet cupcake followed by the soup tasting was not a good idea!

Bob our tour guide was so informative and lots of fun - we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and wonderful food tastings, if you enjoy food we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York City. The tour is combined with a little culture and history so it is not all eating..nonetheless after all the tastings we certainly did not have room for dinner that evening! This is our second experience of a food tour and will plan a third one when we visit again!!

Having visited New York before in 2007 and having done the traditional 'tourist' things - Empire State, Rockerfeller, Liberty Helicopters etc we were hoping to find different things to do and this food tour was the perfect answer.

Friends recommended the tour so we booked tickets and enjoyed an excellent and informative sunday morning tour of Chelsea Markets and the meat packing districts, we also got to walk part of the High Line which demonstrated a different aspect of the area. Our tour leader was excellent, well informed and clearly passionate about his subject.

This was the best $100 we spent all week and would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of the city and also to get access to some great views and that you would not find in any guide book - if you cant get on a tour or dont have the time make sue you visit the market for a great experience.

Me and my group had a wonderful time in the company of Kurt. He is so pleasant and knowledgeable.

Next time in NY, we are sure to visit another part of the city that way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with bob- he was very informative, enthusiastic and personable. He took his time to explain all about the area and was happy to discuss other general queries about new York. He wasn't intrusive or gung ho in his attitude and we would gladly recommend this tour and guide to everyone visiting the city. All the stores we stopped in were a lovely example of their trade- each shop being clean, up to date and serving top quality merchandise. I especially enjoyed the seafood shop and my husband and u returned there after the tour.

Chelsea Market is an unmissable part of any NYC trip and this tour showcased it beautifully.

Decent tour...

The Chelsea market portion was great. A wine tasting at the Wine Vault would have been nice. The Lobster Place soup was no good at all however (terrible actually). The tour guide did take the first round back and attempt a second round, but it was no better. We were then toured through Morimoto, but with no tasting; disappointing. Then toured Del Posto, but again, no tasting; disappointing yet again. I would certainly have paid more for this tour if tastings at these 2 restaurants were included. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgable. The Greenwich village tour is MUCH better, so if you can only do one...

The tour guide (Kurt) was engaging, articulate, informative, and brought a quite varied group together for a truly memorable experience. The location (Chelsea Market and environs) was inherently interesting and the goal of sampling the local delicacies was definitely achieved. Well worth the time, well worth the money, and we would recommend it to any visitor to NYC.
