This was recommended by a friend as a must do in NY. For this reason top of our list and exceeded our expectations. Kurt the guide very knowledgable and kept tabs on everyone - a challenge in the busy markets. Plenty to eat and a well spent afternoon. Roger & Tracey Adelaide Australia

There are many opportunities for food tasting tours no matter where you travel. They have never interested me before, but one of our group really wanted to do this one because of a recommendation from a friend. I did enjoy the food tasting, but what made this tour especially interesting for me was the amount of background information provided by the group leader. Darryl was full of personality and great stories. It is a bit long (3 hrs), but definitely worth the price paid. It is not a tour I would ever repeat due to my own personal interests and that does not reflect on the quality of the tour itself. It is something a bit different to do for a break from the traditional NYC tourist activities.

Our guide Darrel was a great gentleman with a lot of knowlegde of area's history. Tour itself was a lot shorter (walking-wise) than we expected.

We enjoyed our tour leader, Bob, very much. He was very knowledgable and made the tour fun. We learned a lot and ate some great food. It was a very good way to get some NY history and have fun at the same time.

Took the Chelsea market tour on Friday with Darrell. Great guide - lots of fun! Darrell kept us moving and the 3 hours flew by! Darrell kept us entertained, and gave us good 'info' about the area. This is the third tour we've done (Original & Chinatown) and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend!!! Thanks Darrell!

Our guide Curt was terrific. Funny, enthusiastic, energetic, and a wealth of knowledge.

We followed him around like a bunch of puppies and left the tour three hours later with our stomachs stuffed with great food and our heads stuffed with knowledge and jokes.

Highly recommended.

I was happy we were indoors, 2 years in a row we had inclement weather. My husband enjoy this tour and Kurt was very enjoyable.

I was given a voucher for this tour by my colleagues, as a "good-bye present", for my retirement, because they knew I would go for a vacation to NYC this year. My wife and I didn't really know what we were up for, and we were very positively surprised! Seeing Chelsea Market with our tour guide, Darryl, was decidedly better than going there alone, we would have missed too much! And for every location we visited, he had an anecdote or two. We learned a lot about the old and the new Meatpacking District, and we had lots of fun. We would do it again. And - we didn't need dinner afterwards!
