It was well presented by our tour guide. The shops that we visited were excellent and the tastings as well. I would be very happy to recommend this tour to anyone as one of the many places that should be seen.

This is a great tour that won't leave you as stuffed as you might think since there is quite a bit of walking to burn off the calories from all the delicious tastings, though I did skip breakfast since I was on the 10:30am tour after reading that suggestion in another review. Bob was a wonderful guide and I truly enjoyed the time spent in his company as well as that of our group which consisted of locals and travelers. I was by myself, and late thanks to a cab driver taking me on a way out of the way route resulting in me jumping out of the cab and sprinting the final 9 blocks, but the office staff was very helpful in directing me to where I could meet up with the group and Bob was welcoming and assured me I hadn't missed the first tasting. Whew!! The tastings covered a broad range of foods available at the Market and there was something for everyone. So go, eat, and enjoy!

This was a 2nd tour for me but I returned with my husband and two close friends who I knew would totally enjoy this tour. They loved it!! The food tasting is superb and the background info by our tour guide (Cindy) was hugely entertaining. I really can't say enough good things about this tour and especially our guide, Cindy.

Overall, we enjoyed the tour. My mother and I travelled from Bucks County, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia via the train. We thought the guide (Curt(sp)) was sensational; he was enthusiastic, animated, knowledgeable and seemed to know the owners and their commitment to their products. He provided a history of the market and its evolution. It was really interesting. We learned about the neighborhood and the food. We learned why there are greenhouse windows in the market and how not all baby carrots are baby carrots. And, why we shouldn’t order the special – I always did?!?. He knew everyone’s name, where they were from so as to make the information targeted for each person. The tour moves quickly so if you want to linger this is not for you. It’s an overview, so you can go back and get what you want … probably with a coupon.

Father's Day present - adult kids and parents. It was a terrific way to spend time together. Curt was a fabulous tour guide - informative, dramatic, entertaining, fast paced but not rushing us.

First, our tour guide was excellent --she was very informative, humorous but could've made it more interactive amongst group members. We enjoyed the historical facts and the eateries selected. The tastings were excellent choices and good portions. Not too much idle time spent between stops which made tour time perfect. Would've enjoyed meeting some of the chefs,

The Chelsea Markets tour is fun, tasty (loved the lobster bisque!), and informative. It takes place mostly inside the markets, which is fine for a day when the weather is unpleasant. We did enjoy the Greenwich Village tour more than this one because we were out and about and covered more territory. Still, there is much to see and taste inside Chelsea Markets, and our brief excursion to the Highline and the meatpacking district was enjoyable. One member of our group is a vegetarian, and we appreciated the accommodations that were made for her.
