Chinatown food tour

The host was energetic, friendly and informed. The food for the most part was good and well chosen. The dim sum place and Malaysian place were excellent. The Peking Duck place while renowned and much praised gave us small pieces of duck in a tortilla type of roll which is not Chinese in culture and hid the taste of the duck. The walk was very good and enjoyable to hear from Rahim. He was courteous and gracious.

Rahim was a fabulous guide. Second time I've done this tour and it was even better than the first which I thought was great. The food, history of Chinatown and various experiences added up to a wonderful tour (about the fifth I've taken with Food Tours of New York) .

This was our 3rd Foods of NY Tour. The Chinatown tour was great, with lots of great information about the area as well as amazing foods and experiences. The guides have been highly informative and know a HUGH amount about the areas. I highly recommend the Foods of NY Tours ! All three we have taken have been excellent and we will be booking another neighborhoods tours soon !

Take your time, there's no Rush

Our eating experiences were not rushed and a clean bathroom was available at most of the sites. Enjoyed the cultural and history commentary throughout our tour. Our guide, Bert, added to the total experience because of his personal connection to Chinatown having lived there several years. Really appreciated having other small eateries pointed out and what their specialties were, so when we come back we will try to experience some new food places.

After the tour, we were given suggestions on museums, temples, tea stores and other parks to visit in Chinatown.

Thanks, Bert!

Our guide was wonderful. He gave us so much information about Chinatown as it was and now is. The food was wonderful and plenty of it. I even learned how to use chopsticks. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Excellent, knowledgable and entertaining guide quite diligent in delighting the group with historical facts and gossip. Great choice of places to eat with good variety of menu selections. Well organized, timed and executed. Great way to meet new people in a dining environment.

The guide was professional, relevant, and he even memorized the name of every one in our group made up of 14 mostly couples but one family and a few pairs of friends. The food choices were great - we had four dining experiences (dim sum, Peking duck, mannerism, and a bakery plus stops at a number of important food and great informational sites Ill definitely want to visit again. This tour is for lovers of food, and new cultural experiences. It's like having a live talking audio guide while walking, eating, sightseeing, and a trusted friend to ask any questions that pop up. Highly recommended!

We took the New York Chinatown tour with Rahim. He was very informative about the history of the area as well as the food served at the various eateries in the vicinity. It was as though he'd tried every one! Anyway, our group of four adults had a great time and the food served was delicious.

Raheeme leads

First of all I apologize if I spelled Raheem's name wrong. It was a hot day so standing in one spot for too long would really suck and Raheem made sure to keep us moving and always made sure we were in the shade whenever possible. He was very knowledgeable about the area and history of the area. He had something to say about every corner every store I think could have given us a lesson about the curb if someone asked. He spoke in a clear crisp manor which I appreciate cause I wear hearing aids. Everything was planned ahead and he always made sure the next place was ready for our group to enter. He had his information to give but always took the time to listen to a question and had an answer with more info then could b believed. He was polite, informative and an all round nice guy. We will b back and we will bring friends. I will request him because of his excellence. Thanks again
