This was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten by far. It has spoiled me because nothing else will ever measure up. The tour was delightful. The guide set an upbeat friendly tone and shared tons of good information. All of the people on the tour were nice and interesting. I'll be taking another one of the tours the next time I'm in New York.

This is my fifth Foods of New York tour and just like all the previous tours, this one did not disappoint. Bert was our very enjoyable and thoroughly knowledgeable guide. It always amazes me the wealth of knowledge the guides on all the tours impart about the food and history of their areas. This tour was a little different than the others in that the tastings took place inside and seated. We had dumplings at Dim Sum Go Go, Duck pancakes at the Peking Duck House, and roti canai (Malaysian flatbread) which was served with a delicious dipping sauce. I have to say the presentation and serving of the duck pancakes was the most impressive. Three roasted ducks (heads included) were brought out and carved right in front of us. The pancakes were then assembled and served on platters. We concluded the tour at Golden Manna Bakery with egg custard tarts that were still warm. If you enjoy food, learning the history of different sections of NYC or just want to spend 3 hours having a REALLY good time, I strongly suggest you sign up for any of the Foods of NY Tours!

Our guide Bert was charming and knowledgeable ! He was very considerate of everyone's needs.

The choices of restaurants and the care that was given to us was exceptionable. I can't wait to come back and try more of the suggestions. I have taken almost every tour this company has to offer and each one is memorable and worth mention to everyone ,who tells me they are coming to Manhattan

Wonderful Food Adventure

Despite the size of the group, Bert, the guide, knew everyone's name within the first few minutes and was passionate about his work, food and meeting people. All four food places (Go Go Dim Sum, Peking Duck House, West New Malaysian and the egg tart bakery) provided excellent services, high quality food and substantive servings. My first Food of NY Tour and will not be my last.

Bert was very knowledgeable, having lived in Chinatown for several yrs. He was enthusiastic and seemed to have good rapport with the shop owners. Food was very good and mire than enough.

Although this tour is a bit more expensive than other food tours, it is well worth it. We had food served to us in 3 different restaurants while we were seated. Most delicious was the dim sum experience and the Peking duck experience. We will go back to those restaurants and the others that are recommended in the program brochure handed out to us. The 3rd restaurant was most educational -- a Malaysian restaurant. We will go back to try new things. Our "dessert" was a stand-up affair with samples passed on a tray.

The guide's knowledge as we walked the streets and stopped by shops was outstanding.

Best eating tour yet.

My friend and I have taken 2 other eating tours with Foods of NY before but I think this one was the best so far. The portions were sizable and satisfying. The food tasted amazing( especially the Peking Duck) and our guide Bert was full of historical and gastronomical facts. He clearly loves food and NY. Great day.
