The first two stops were great. This was the first time i had dumplings and duck and i was very happy with the results. I could have skipped the third stop. I did not find the meal appetizing.

My husband and I had been recommended to do the China Town food trip. Bert was our guide. He was welcoming, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about lots of things - the food, how its made, ingredients, suggested recipes, history, quirky facts. Lots. We really enjoyed it.

This was my 2nd tour with this company. I had such a great time on one of the Greenwich Village tours, That I wanted to do another one. I was not disappointed. Our tour guide, Bert (AKA Eric) struck just the right note: Funny, knowledgeable, relaxed, but not too relaxed. I loved the combo of info about the food and the history of the neighborhood we were in. Most of the folks in my group were return customers, and many were native New Yorkers. I think that says it all.

This tour was great! It was a great combo of food, culture and history. We very much liked the dim sum at the first spot and I thought the peking duck at the Pecking Duck House was the best I've ever had and can't wait to take my husband back with me! Where I really liked the first 2 stops/tastings I didn't really enjoy the last one. The eggplant dish was okay kinda of mushy and I really didn't like the rice as it was too fishy for my taste.

Bert was a great tour guide! He was full of knowledge about the areas and great recommendations and he really got the group involved and kept us all entertained. I would love to take another food tour led by him.

One thing I didn't really like was that prior to going on this tour I read on the website that there were 5 tastings 3 seated and 2 'on-the-go' and it mentioned something about eating a 'tiger roll'. We only ha 3 tastings so I was confused when the your ended at the 3rd place cause I thought there were more stops.

It would have been nice to end the tour with something sweet. Although I did end up going to the Chinatown Ice Cream factory that Bert recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, the tour guide, and the food. What a wonderful, historic area.

But, unfortunately, I am alergic to MSG and it was obviously included in one or more of the meals and I suffered a severe bout of migraine and vomitting for two days. I would still recommed this tour, but would caution the tour guide to alert the group about MSG being included in the meals.

Our tour was very enjoyable. This one was the final one that we hadn't done yet.All the others were so much fun and were thoroughly enjoyed so we were anxious to do this one too.

The guide was very knowledgeable & pleasant. We are hoping to do another one when it is added to the list.

I have recommended these tours to many people.

Our tour guide, Bert, is the reason my friend and I had so much fun on this tour. He was a wonderful host. There are not as many stops on this particular tour, but there is a lot of food. My 2 favorites were the dim sum and the Peking duck stops. The rice and eggplant were ok, but not the best and the tea stop was just not good at all, but then I don't like sweetened tea and this tea was sweetened. My friend liked the tea stop, so it's just a matter of sweet vs. nonsweet tea. The shopping stop was ok if you're into tea pots, cups and herbs, otherwise it was a waste of time. The cat was nice though. I had fun and did learn a lot of the history of Chinatown which I had never learned before. This was my 5th Foods of New York tour and while it's not the first tour I would recommend to my friends, I'm glad I went on it.

several foods just weren't that good.

Our tour guide Bert was wonderful and very informative. The food just wasn't all that good. I don't think it was his fault. There were leftovers after most stops. The dim sum was the best. I felt it went down hill after that. But Bert was truly great!! He gave us a lot of information. Just did not care for the food. We have been on several tours, but this one was not that great with the food. I was hoping for more.

The tour guide was very good. Funny, Witty. tOUR IS VERY CASUAL AND RELAXING, PLANTY OF RESTROOM STOPS, OPPORTUNITIES TO WONDER OFF FOR LITTLE TEA SHOPPING. I WISH WE SAW MORE EXOTIC EATING PLACES. THE RESTAURANTS CHOSEN FOR THIS TOUR, WHILE VERY GOOD AND CLEAN, ARE VERY FAMILIAR FOR THOSE WHO LIVE IN NEW YORK OR NEW JERSEY. STILL , GOOD TIMES, ESPECIALLY ON A NICE SUNNY DAY..
