Great Tour of the Chinatown area

Bert was a great guide - had lived in the area so knew the streets and restaurants well. I really enjoyed the walk around the neighbourhood and the history about the streets. The restaurant doing the duck was my least favorite, wasn't a fan of the skin, fat and meat all being served together. The wrap or pancake was doughy. The dim sum and curry was great. I would have preferred a stop at the egg roll place where its served in a crepe. Overall the tour was great!

Raheem did an excellent job as our tour leader. We would have followed him anywhere! All the food was great and generous. We were quite full by the end of the tour--full of food and fun facts. Thanks for a great evening!

Our tour guide Bert had excellent knowledge of the area. Even though I have been to New York's chinatown multiple times I learned history and cultural information that I hadn't known before. He really made the tour, very pleasant, fun and accommodating of everyone in the group. The restaurants we visited were unique and excellent. This tour was a highlight of my trip to New York. I will plan to take other tours in other areas the next time I am there. This is a great way to spend part of a day in New York.

Raheem was a great guide. Very enthusiastic and knowledgable about the area and food. Thought only one Peking duck wrap would have been sufficient and it may have brought the price down a bit . Wasn't impressed with the Malaysian food stop, however. Inspite of this, I still recommend the tour.

The Guide was personable and courteous. I don't think the value was there for this tour as compared to the other Foods of NY tours. It was interesting, just not awesome.

Take your time, there's no Rush

Our eating experiences were not rushed and a clean bathroom was available at most of the sites. Enjoyed the cultural and history commentary throughout our tour. Our guide, Bert, added to the total experience because of his personal connection to Chinatown having lived there several years. Really appreciated having other small eateries pointed out and what their specialties were, so when we come back we will try to experience some new food places.

After the tour, we were given suggestions on museums, temples, tea stores and other parks to visit in Chinatown.

Thanks, Bert!
