The host was very entertaining. He gave us some history, explained a little bit of the different cultures, backgrounds of the restaurants we went to and the ones we just walked past. The host had so much general knowledge of the area.

Next time I'm in New York I will do this tour again, Because the restaurants I was told are constantly being reviewed, and thus the tour will always change.

Love love love.

We choose to do this tour as wanted to eat out in china town but had no idea where to start. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, he obviously ate at the places he went to personally and so could give personal reviews.

the restaurants we went to were fabulous all the food was amazing and varied. The walk around Chinatown between the restaurants was interesting and our guide filled us in on the history of the area.

the group size was small so we could easily ask questions and didn't feel rushed.

the only thing i would say is to leave plenty of time to find the meeting point as Chinatown for us was a bit of a maze! And very busy and hectic so we were running a bit late.

i would thoroughly recommend this tour!

thx Raheem for this great tour in the Chinatown area. Got to taste the original pekin duck, which was excellent.

Also the new dessert was fantastic. You must keep in the tour as ending!

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour leader. We now know much more about Chinese immigration into the US but also know some good places to eat, what the food is and how it should be prepared. Many members of the group commented that we were visiting places that we would never have found on our own. The addition of a Malaysian restaurant was a good move.

If you are a tourist or New York local and you love to try exotic new things, then the Chinatown Food and Culture walking tour is the perfect thing to do! The walking tour was full of great restaurants, amazing food and lots of fun! The tour guide seemed to know a lot about the history of Chinatown so we had many small discussions about how things got to where they are, the history of Chinatown and how the food is made interesting. Very good food, everything we ate and did was above or expectations! Don't worry about the idea of walking for two and a half hours because you won't! Stopping at restaurants to eat and sit is twenty minutes max, so it gives your legs time to rest. Everybody is friendly and the tour gives you a great opportunity to meet people from near and far!!

This was the best tour - tour guide was very knowledgeable on the area and the food and kept the tour interesting with anecdotal information on the sites. He was funny and kept it all light. The food was amazing and filling - definitely enough food to satisfy any hunger and food choices will satisfy any foodie. Definitely would recommend to anyone interested in learning about Chinatown in New York and trying authentic Chinese food somewhat off the beaten track. One restaurant you would definitely never find on your own as it is down a little alley. Do it - book now.

Raheem was out tour guide and he really made the tour exceptional. Warm, funny and extremely knowledgeable about both the history of a China Town and the food. This tour was the highlight of our trip and we will definitely be back to do other tours with the same company based on this one. Delicious Chinese food, great value and a terrific way to learn about this fascinating part of New York. A+++
