Release from confusion!

Yes we really enjoyed this - obviously the food was excellent (we actually went back to Dim Sum Go Go two days later for more) but the really great thing about this tour was the introduction to the best/recommended places. We have been to NY's Chinatown before but it can be confusing - even intimidating - if like us you are unsure about trusting either the guidebooks or your instincts in terms of the sheer volume of restaurants. What the tour did for us was to highlight where to go, where to avoid and what to look for in terms of quality. Rahim's enthusiasm was very positive. We'd recommend to others without hesitation.

Tour was excellent, even on a very windy and rainy day.Tour guide kept it fun even with the miserable weather.Food had a nice variety,,ie,Dumplings,Peking Duck,Malaysian Curry,etc..The time outside was probably less then normal due to the weather but the guide did a nice job explaining the community and it's history.People's eating preferences and allergies were easily handled.Instead of a scheduled pork dumpling,I had a chicken one.Others who had a seafood allergy received different ones instead of the seafood dumplings. All handled smoothly and professionally. All in all,a nice few hours

The tour exceeded our expectations. The food was very varied, and very good. No feeling that we got anything but their best. It also was Lunar New Year, and the atmosphere in Chinatown was joyous.

We did the Chinatown tour this past weekend. Our tour guide was Bert. He was a wealth of knowledge and my group of 8 loved him. We have down several other tours and we have always been very pleased with Food of New York tours.

Rajheem is a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We sat down at most of the restaurants we visited and had stood for a few (2?). The food was very good. We had dim sum, Pekin Duck, authentic fried rice, eggplant dish, and a wonderful dessert. He took us to the "true" Chinatown and told us a good amount of history. He also showed us an underground tunnel in Chinatown. He told us where to eat afterwards and showed us this club where they make mind altering drinks. Will definitely going there later in the future. He moves at a very good pace and you can definitely tell he loves his food.

Really great tour!

We had been on the company's Greenwich Village walking tour in the past and since we had friends in town for Thanksgiving we thought we'd try it again. To our (initial) disappointment there wasn't availability on any of the tours apart from the China Town walk, which we were actually in two minds about because we aren't avid fans of this type of cuisine. In the end we trusted the reviews we read on Zerve and booked it and we're really glad we did.

Burt was an extremely engaging tour guide with a clear passion for his job which made the tour tremendously enjoyable. There wasn't a lot of walking (the entire tour takes place below Canal Street) but the food was excellent and we learned a lot about the history of the local area.

Two thumbs up!
