Excellent Guide, Tour & Food

This tour was recommended by a neighbor who has done lots of NYC food tours. It was definitely the wonderful experience she said it would be. Bert was a terrific guide. He obviously loves the area, the food and his job. We totally enjoyed tooling around Chinatown, learning about the culture and eating the authentic and very tasty dishes served at our various stops.

BURT ROCKS CHINATOWN!!!

My son and I took the Chinatown Walking Tour led by Burt and enjoyed every minute of it! He is very knowledgeable and made the experience a lot of fun. The food was excellent (so good that we went back to Dim Sum GoGo the next day!) and the portions were extremely generous. The Peking Duck House is an experience in itself. The duck is carved tableside and is to die for! What I would give for that duck carcass now that I'm home! This tour is worth every penny spent and more! Thank you, Burt for making this Florida girl's first trip to NYC complete!

Nice way to learn about Chinatown

Bert was friendly and informative. We left there with our bellies full and feeling like we had experienced Chinatown in a new way. We had visited Chinatown 3 years ago and had walked through the area not really understanding the culture and history. Bert gave us yummy food and a new insight.

The tour is so different then any other site seeing adventure I have even been on. You get history of an area of Manhattan, that as a New Yorker I have been to 100's of times, but never knew. Also, the food is amazing and the guides knowledge of the food and the culture really tie will together to make it a great experience.

A Fun Evening Out!

Tour guide was excellent, as were the stops. A few "edits" I would make … a little less history and talking and one more stop. Why not add the dumpling lady that cost $1.00 for 5 dumplings? - It was still an outstanding experience. Thank you!

This is my 3rd tour with this company and each one is better than the last one.

The Chinatown Food Tour was a little different as it included 3 sit down courses, in addition to stopping at a few food spots, and of course the walking with all the history of the area. I especially liked the sit down part of the tour because we got to talk with the other people, who came from all over the world, in a comforatble and relaxed atmosphere.

I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

We had a great time. Our guide Burt was knowledgeable, informative, interesting and did an excellant job. The food and choice of restaurants was outstanding. Our experience was enhanced with Burt's details regarding the various dishes we were being served along with interesting tid bits of history regarding Chinatown. We have already told, neighbors, friends and family about the good time we had. We are planning to go on the Village tour next, which was highly recommended by one of the couples we met from our group.

Fun in Chinatown

Raheem was very knowledgeable and personable. It was really great to experience dim sum, as we have never gone to a dim sum restaurant and were unaware of what it involved. Also learning about Peking Duck was a lot of fun and something we had sever had before. The Malaysian restaurant was also interesting and somewhere we might try again in the future. The dessert was amazing and completely unexpected.

We have gone on all of your food tours and always bring the booklets with us when we go to New York so we can visit some of our favorite finds.

Release from confusion!

Yes we really enjoyed this - obviously the food was excellent (we actually went back to Dim Sum Go Go two days later for more) but the really great thing about this tour was the introduction to the best/recommended places. We have been to NY's Chinatown before but it can be confusing - even intimidating - if like us you are unsure about trusting either the guidebooks or your instincts in terms of the sheer volume of restaurants. What the tour did for us was to highlight where to go, where to avoid and what to look for in terms of quality. Rahim's enthusiasm was very positive. We'd recommend to others without hesitation.
