Excellent way to experience SOHO!
Fri, Aug 13, 10   12:30 PM CherieJohnso Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We ate our way through SOHO learning about the history and interesting facts about the culture. There were foods that I had never tasted before, nor would I have have had the chance to try them if it weren't for the food tour! We felt like we were on a browse about the city rather than a "tour", stopping at quirky bistros and cafes on our way. The food was amazing, even for a finicky eater like me! A definite must do for your bucket list! Just don't eat lunch before you go, you will get lots of food! Our guide was charming and informed, we wanted to take her away with us for the rest of our trip in NYC! Great value for the amount of food and a pleasant afternoon!

Deliciously multicultural

The food tour of Central Greenwhich and Soho was great! I was there with a friend and we enjoyed the different types of food that were served. The tastings were big and we almost couldn't finish the last ones, even if they were delicious.

The cultural information was interesting and I appreciated to see who lives there, to eat at places where New Yorkers eat or even to buy coffee where locals buy it. It was different from the "usual tourist stuff". Next time I'm in NY, I'll take another Food Tour for sure to discover another area.

Thanks to Susan for showing us around and special thanks for the specific info on Friends. ;)

Great intro to ethnic foods and the neighborhood

We are locals that live outside of NYC. This was a great excursion into the history and culture of this area. Susan was an educated, articulate, informative and accomodating guide. The food was delish and plentiful. Look forward to exploring more of the city with this tour company.

wonderful, infromative, and tasty too

I thought our tour gude Susan was extremely knowledgable about the food, restaurants and the neighborhood. For a girl who lives in NJ and spent many of her 20's in the village, I realized that tI did not know as much about the area as I thought. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I learned and enjoyed the tour. Susan is a real find. She gave us some very valuable information that I would never have learned if not for her. Please Please give her a raise, she deserves it. And in case yoiu are wondering I do not know Susan, I just met her on the tour.

P.S. My friends and I plan on heading back to the central village this Thursday night to see a show at the Minetta Theater and eat at the wonderful Indian restaurant on the tour.

Thanks again for a great time.

Wonderful experience!!!

The SoHo Tour was way beyond our expectations in a great way! We had a wonderful tour guide, a very knowledgeable young man who was both a real "foodie" as well as a history buff and seemed very passionate about sharing the many good things about this part of NYC, not just food! We really enjoyed strolling through Washington Square Park and learning of its history.

More food than we thought...definitely don't eat beforehand. It was a very well planned itinerary of events, ending with a wonderful "sit down" in a Cuban restaurant where we also got to talk with others in the groups as we had our empanada's....and mojito's....I would highly recommend this tour! Well worth it!

Rahim battles the Heat!

Our guide, Rahim has a great sense of humor and knew the area like the back of his hand...his historical references were very informative and wide ranging. The temperature was scorching though, and as we ate our bites through the neighborhood we could have used some extra waters, and perhaps a slightly lighter bite at restaurant Cuba where we were served deep fried empanadas. Albeit delicious, on a 97 degree day, perhaps a lighter change to the menu at our longest stop on the tour would have been appreciated. Also, though we stopped at two shops on Sullivan Street in Soho, we would have enjoyed venturing a little further into that area for a little more history.

Otherwise, the tour was conducted professionally, and we all seemed to enjoy it. Will recommend it heartily.

First let me tell you our tour guide (Susan) was wonderful, we all thought she did a great job. The tour was very interesting and lots of fun. All of the stops and tastings along the way were delicious... and we are planning to come back and visit a few of the stops. We would have never known about these places if we had not toured with you. Thanks for a great time!

Our walking tour was fabulous despite a little rain! Our tour guide was very knowledgable and enthusiatic about the places we visited along the way. He even ensured we all knew how to get to where we were going once the tour ended, he was very hospitable and caring. The food was very tasteful and plentiful which made the cost of the tour money well spent!!! We are already planning our next tour for the Fall!!

Greenwich Village / Soho food tour

Food stops were spread out too far, should have been closer together (timing). Too much "lag time" in the middle.
