My 16 yr old daughter and I had an marvellous experience in the village. The guide was super knowledgeable and really nice. The group we we with was great ( we were the only foreigners). Loved the variety of food types, the little stops in the tea shop, coffee shop and pasta making shop. The walk around the village and Washington park were a bonus. Thoroughly recommend.

Great Food and Great Fun

The tour was an excellent walking tour full of information about the village. The food was great and the portions were plenty. We were full after the 2nd tasting but we trudged on:) There was several opportunities to have wine or beer and one opportunity for a prickly pear margarita. These were not included in the price but worth it. Our tour guide was funny, engaging and interesting. He did not lecture us and it was the right amount of talking. Just to let others know, there was not a lot of walking. You mainly stay in a very small area. Highly recommended.

This is our third tour with your company (other two were lead by Cindy). Wonderful Saturday afternoon touring the Village with Ted. Food stops are fabulous and Ted's knowledge of the area is vast. Thanks for a great day.

Went on a good tour through Little Italy with my husband. Our tour guide whose name escapes me but he was filling in for someone else was amazing. He was funny and knew so much interesting stuff about NYC. Opened my eyes to NYC dining experiences. Would definately recommend this tour.

History & Food

This was such a great experience! Excellent for getting to try a little bit of everything from places that I wouldn't necessarily try out on my own. Our tour guide was also extremely knowledgeable of the history in this area of the The Village; coupled with the excellent food were pieces of history and stories of former residents of the area.

Return visitors delighted with our food tour

This was our 4th Foods of NY tour in the past 5 years and once again we were delighted. Susan met us outside of Monte's Trattoria in the Village and was attentive, informative and engaging during the entire tour. The food venues were diverse and delicious and the history and culture Susan shared with us about the city was most interesting. We enjoyed an amazing melted cheese and brisket sandwich from Melt Kraft whose cheeses come from a local artisan dairy,an Indian wrap from Masala Times Indian Street Food, penne pasta with a delicious Bolognese from Monte's Tratoria, Margherita pizza from Artichoke Pizza with the most incredible crust, deliciously light & crispy empanadas from Cuba, and finally, salted caramel and chocolate French Macarons from Francois Payard Bakery. Interspersed with the gourmet delicacies we enjoyed, we also stopped in to Porto Rico coffee roasters as well as Sullivan Street Tea and Spice Co. All in all, it was a MEMORABLE tour and we look forward to joining another group soon. While all the Foods of NY guides we've been on tours with have been outstanding, Susan went the extra steps to get acquainted as well insure each one of us was thoroughly enjoying our experience. After having gone on tours led by 2 other tour companies in the city, we are more convinced than ever that Foods of NY is the BEST! Thank you for such a great experience and we look forward to our next food adventure! Lucy from San Francisco
