Food and History, how can you beat it!

Our tour guide was great. Susan learned our names and was very interactive. We enjoyed the food. The kati roll place was the weakest is the line up. They should do chicken or paneer in the roll, not egg. I don't think it entices people to go back. We did go back and eat at the Cuban place. Cuba was delicious. We had steak and red snapper that was do flavorful.

I have been to NYC several times and have done all of the "touristy" things...and this is by far the best thing I have ever done! We learned a lot about The Village history and also ate delicious food. My only regret is we didn't do this earlier in the trip so we could go back to the area and restaurants.

We visited seven venues, all of which were very good. There was an abundance of food. Our guide was wonderful, interspercing local history with food information. The pace was just right and all the food was delicious.

Suzanne (I think that is her name) was an excellent tour guide. She provided all kinds of great info and went out of her way to make us comfortable and answer the zillion questions we had. The food and food establishments were terrific, and the historical info about the 'heart' of Greenwich Village that Suzanne provided was very entertaining and interesting. I highly recommend both the tour and the tour guide! (highlights: grilled cheese sandwiches, Café Wha? info)

Great food, great leader and terrific information!

Susan was a a very informative leader, concerned about the group in the heat of the day. I loved all the food, the melted cheese sandwich was my favorite and my guest loved the Indian restaurant. I learned quite a bit about the village.

My only change, maybe, not to have the pasta and the pizza eaten one after the other- we needed a little time to digest. The variety of ethnicities in food was terrific! Looking forward to doing another tour- first rate!

Wonderful Way to Explore the City!!!

This tour was absolutely fabulous! the food was amazing and I had a great time learning about the area (Greenwich Village). It was a fun way to explore and to try new places that I might not otherwise have chosen on my own. It was also fun to have someone else order for us. My friends and I were full halfway through (and I did not eat before), but we were able to walk some of it off and finish the remainder of the tastings. Still, you will probably leave feeling very satisfied. Fun way to spend an afternoon with friends or family.

I've done the Chelsea market and the other Greenwich village tours in the past, and this one included the most food, by far!

Great way to explore Greenwich Village

It was a fun tour for learning a little history of Greenwich Village and tasting a variety of food. The portions at each stop were larger than I've experienced on other food tours and there was almost too much food! I highly recommend this tour to New Yorkers and those who are visiting the city.

Rajim is awesome!

This is our second foods of New York tour and it looks like it will become a family tradition whenever we visit. We enjoy the history, pop culture tidbits, and architecture as much as the fantastic food. This time we did it right and went on the tour at the beginning of our vacation so we could come back to eat at our favorites. Rajim is a terrific tour guide. Taking the Heart of the Village tour gets you away from the typical jam-packed tourist spots and lets you experience the food and culture of the neighborhood. It is my personal must do in New York.
