Best tour I ever took

I read about your tour after clicking on a link that I found. Our group were myself and my husband in our mid 60's, my oldest daughter and her 13 yr old son. Susan was our guide. She cannot be improved on, not even a little bit. As a born and bred New Yorker who hasn't lived in New York in many years I can vouch that she knows her stuff. The restaurants chosen were great....everyone of them. My daughter is a chef..although Susan was not aware of that and she did everything she should have done for the tour. Learned new restaurants to return to soon....I cannot think of a negative thing to say. She deserves a raise....Bonnie Foster

Deliciously Different

We loved the tour ... a great, different way to see Greenwich Village and Soho. A fun way to try out different ethnic restaurants and learn some of the local lore at the same time. We would have never found these places on our own but will definitely go back next time we visit. P.S. Rahim was an awesome guide!

Wonderful Food Tour!
Sat, Aug 28, 10   12:30 PM LCShipman Female 40-49 Combination Group of Friends
All four of us in our group (women between 44-55 years of age) thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was a combination of food and historical tour of Greenwich Village. A great balance of talking, walking and food. The food was fabulous and we we very full afterward. If men go on this tour, they may be surprised at how full they become, too. Our tour guide, Susan, was very knowledgeable and very congenial -- she really made to tour fabulous! Can't say enough good things about this tour.

This was our second tour and both were wonderful! Both guides know the history of the area which we toured. They made it fun. The food was excellent ,more than enough you are full by the end.

My sister, niece and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour on Saturday, August 14th! The food was wonderful and our tour guide, Rajeem, was awesome! He was a tremendous asset to the whole tour. Personal, knowlegeable and great sense of humor. I would highly recommended this tour to anyone who loves food and would like an something out of the ordinary. Couldn't ask for a better way to get a taste of New York City!

Good food heavy on Italian

Found some interesting restaurants on this tour. Excellent food descriptions. Other info was typical tour book fare. The guide was knowledgeable but did not make the group comfortable. When a member of our group, started to spell his name, she said curtly -"You think I can't spell that name? It is pretty common." She spent a fair amount of time at the beginning describing the tour and lining us up -correcting people as to where they were standing on the street. In that time she never introduced us to each other. THE GROUP NEVER REALLY JELLED. AS THE TIME WENT ON SHE SEEMED MORE RELAXED.

I was on the other FOODS of NEW YORK tour and the guide introduced us to each other and engaged the group in a very relaxed way. He told stories and just made the tour come alive. It was a great tour.

This time the food was good, found some new restaurants but the tour itself was mediocre.

Overall a great experience

Great food along with a very knowledgable guide made for a fun way to introduce friends from out of town to the lesser known aspects of the big apple. We took "The Original" Greenwich Village tour which seemed to have a wider variety of both cultural and cullinary options. This tour has a heavy lean on Italian food - would have loved to include Kabab house and other ethnicities to add variety. We look forward to a lower east side tour making an appearance someday.

Totally worth it!!!

I was visiting a friend who lives in Brooklyn and had a day where she was gonna be busy therefore I had to entertain myself. I've heard about the great food tours in NYC so I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did! I'm not a traveling alone type of girl so was a bit nervous about joining the tour by myself but it was perfect and very comfortable. Great way to get to know the area, not just the restaurants but also other local places to hang out, off-broadway theatres/shows, church, park and much more. I did a central greenwich villege one this time but I'll def do all the other tours they have next time i visit.

Interesting and great tasting food

Lots of interesting facts about the area the food was excellent and the portions were very good. Our tour guide Diana was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us some good tips on what to do in the village. We came back that evening and really enjoyed our selves at the Cafe Wha. On our next trip to NYC we will most likely do another tour with your group.

Great way to get an introduction to the area!!

We gave the tour as a gift to our grown children including a spouse and girlfriend. We decided to go with them and had a great time. Diana was our tour guide and she provided great insight into the history, culture and food. It was obvious that the neighborhoods mean very much to her. The food was very good and we had enough to eat so did not need to eat after. Now, we have a list of places that we intend to go back to for entertainment and great dining places. She shared the menu from several of the restuarants so that we could see how resonably priced they are during non-tour times. Overall, great....we will do another tour!!
