Lovely restaurants with nice sampling of foods. We were surprised by the nice portion size. Well worth the price.

we were a group of 3 college friends meeting in NYC from 3 different states. all women, all 49. this was an outstanding activity! we left thinking we were undercharged :) Raheem could not have done a better job. Very knowledgeable about the area also very enthusiastic about the area. you can tell he loves his job. if we meet in NYC again, would without a doubt pick another tour to take. if this was available in another city, i would purchase tickets. Raheem also tried to keep us out of the way of the locals so we did not get in their way (as best as he could) and did this in a pleasant way. we did still however seem to anger a few locals who made snide comments to the group. really don't think anything could be done to avoid this.

This is our second tour with Foods of New York and it was as terrific as our first. Our guide, Rahim, was exceptional and the food was amazing. We discovered outstanding restaurants and specialty shops that we probably would never have known about otherwise. Even our 19 year old daughter had a great time!

This tour was exciting for both the locals and out-of-towners in our group. Although most of us were familiar with many restaurants in the Central Village we were introduced to 7 new, spectacular places! Three hours is a sufficient amount of time, and the amount of food was perfect.

I will definitely return to the places that we were introduced to...the best part was going inside someplace that looked like an abandoned building and being shocked by an elegant and unique interior! I never would have found some of these places on my own.

I also liked it because I was visiting with college friends (who I only see a few times a year) and we got to participate in a fun activity and talk to each other at the same time. We all learned new things about the neighborhoods, about architecture, and also got to catch up and share some laughs!

My younger sister did a similar tour last summer and recommended a new york city food tour. My group and I thoroughly enjoyed this event. Our tour guide (Raheem) was such a food lover, so enthusiastic about everything he was saying it might have made the food even more delicious. I can't imagine having any other tour guide. The food was delicious, the time in between tastings was perfect (you actually get full). Perfect number of bathroom breaks, the free water was very appreciated. Our tour guide even had napkins!! I am planning on going again this spring.

I loved this tour so much that I am definitely going to go on all the rest. It really made me fall in love with the city. The food was delicious, our guide was authentic and knowledgeable. The mood was relaxed and the group was nice and small so you don't feel like too much of a tourist. I went with friends both from out of town and New Yorkers and everyone learned new things and enjoyed themselves. I absolutely loved it and it was WELL worth the money. I could've gone much longer than 3 hours!

This was my second foods of new york tour and I had even more fun the second time around. Both of the tours took place in the village. Despite that, all the information and places we visited were new. The weather wasn't all that great, but that didn't not affect my enjoyment at all. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

I had went on the original Greenwich tour on a previous NY visit and had my eye on this tour. Was a bit hesitant after reading old comments but when I went back to the website closer to our departure date, I noticed they made more improvements on this tour, based upon feedback, and booked this right away.

I was travelling with my sister and sister-in-laws and we all loved this tour.

Portions were large and the food was great.

We had a great variety from the Indian wrap, pasta, ricotta cheesecake (mmmmm), empanadas, tortellini, smoked mozarella, black pepper sausage and the walnut tarte.

Susan kept us at a good pace and entertained us with her knowledge of the Village.

I was glad she mentioned Peanut Butter & Company; even though the tour does not go there anymore, it is a funky place so typical of NY that it can have a whole restaurant themed around one food item.

I really want to try the dim sum tour next visit. How about having a Harlem soul food tour?

This is the second year in a row that I have brought my parents on one of your food tours. Last year we did the classic village tour around Bleecker St. and this year we did the Central village and Soho tour. Both were excellent and both guides were really top notch. I work at NYU so I know quite a bit about the restaurants around here, but I learned a lot of interesting new information and new restaurants that I will go back to on both tours. It's a huge hit with my parents as well and we will probably do the Chealse tour next year. Keep up the good work and keep hiring excellent guides!
