This tour combined all the elements of an incredibly engaging, experiential, hands-on tour! We not only learned the history of the area but experienced first hand the tastes, smells and sights of home-grown restaurants and shop owners in Central Village and SoHo. What could be better than tasting hand-made cheese on the sidewalk and sampling fine cured meats from a shop across the street? I can't wait to experience another culinary tour in NYC. This was by far the most memorable part of my week. I have returned to Galway, Ireland with fond memories.

This is my second time on this tour and it was even better then the first! This time I brought friends from out of state and although one of them couldn't eat some of the items she still enjoyed the tour! We actually ended the day with her visiting a pizza place on the other tour for a slice! (For her, the rest of us were full)

The tour and guide where great, the food was ok I would say that you need more places you go in and sit down, standing out side on the street was not what I expected. Also of of the food was very small, good but not much.

This tour was great. Extremely informative and appealed to everyone in our group, including my parents, boyfriend and roommate. The food was awesome and the tips, very useful.

Since my boyfriend, roommate and I live in the city, we're able to share the info with friends and continue to visit the places we learned about.

Our guide, Susan, was knowledgeable and engaging.

We'll definitely try other tours in the future.

Thanks!

This was my favorite part of my visit to New York. Amazing histoy and great food. Not too much walking (more standing around than walking). Great for any person.

The best food tour so far!

This is the third food tour I have taken with this company and it is definately the best. The others were great, but this one had better food selection, more variety and larger portions than previous tours. It had more history of interest to my age group presented in an enthusiastic way by our tour guide. We both thoroughly enoyed ourselves.

A great way to spend an afternoon in New York!!

Our guide was very engaging and full of great insider information about the food scene in the Central Village and SoHo. Aside from the food, he also was very knowledgeable and had great perspective around the history of the area.

There were lots of tastings and the range of tastings was also impressive in terms of variety of cuisines (both savory and sweet).

My only regret was that we didn't do the tour earlier in our trip so we could go back and do some of the things he mentioned. So if you're planning on doing a tour, do it as early in your trip as possible - you'll want to go eat at some of the restaurants that you hear about on the tour.

I'll do another one the next time I'm in New York for sure. New York is best seen on foot and this tour was a wonderful experience - I highly recommend it.
