Good food, good company, interesting tid-bits of NYC history. Wish a bit more time between eating establishments. Food is good, just hard to eat so much in so little time!

Our guide was totally awesome on the Village food tour. I think his name was Rahim. He had a lot of energy and personality. He responded to the feel of the group rather than giving us a canned tour. His phone suggestions were awesome!

Barri sets the bar for all NYC guides - Food Tour and otherwise. Smart, savvy, and in tune with the whole group. She is not a frustrated actor - just a very knowledgeable guide intent on giving the group the best tour possible.

The 7 tastings were wonderful. Each one topped the last. The three plus hours flew by and we learned so much. It was easy to imagine the folks of the 60s hanging out there. Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul and Mary, beatniks...very "cool." Lots of little factoids to make you laugh and feel like you had a glimpse into the past.

My 3rd Food Tour and I hope many more to come. Loved it!

My brother and I were in the city and decided to do the tour. We had Raheem as our guide. He was awesome--he was personable, patient, funny (okay, a couple of his jokes were corny, but he tried), smart, and most of all, he took the time to learn a little something about each of us on the tour. I have taken food tours in other cities, and he's been the best guide I've had. You can tell he loves his city, and this community. Restaurant staff and people on the street were all happy to see him.

I love that he worked hard to accommodate food allergies: even the substitute foods looked and were delicious!

Now, to the food: We had a really nice diversity of food and drinks, from different areas of the world. Nothing was overly spicy or over cooked--all high in quality.

Portion sizes were great--you definitely leave here full. If you are thinking they're little Costco-size samples, you're wrong. We had a lot--almost too much to handle!

My brother loved the food so much, he even went home and did the recipe on the back of the tour guide.

Next time I'm in the city, I will definitely try to do another tour.

Barri the tour guide was very knowledgable about the area. The only slight recommendation I have would be that most of the tastings were heavy. Other than that extremely worth the money and would recommend.
