Great Greenwich Soho Tour

This was our second food tour. The first was the Greenwich tour and I didn't think that one could be topped. But this was simply superb. Great local info and culture from Susan and just the right amount of food. The weather was overcast and drizzle, but it didn't detract from the experience. Anyone heading for NYC for a vacation should make sure one of these tours is included in their itinerary. We saw shows, visited museums, ate at great restaurants and saw the sites, but the vacation would not be complete without a NY Food Tour. Can't wait for our next one.

Highlight of our weekend in New York City!!

Our central Village/SoHo food tour was fantastic. We lucked out with great weather, our tour guide (Rahim) was knowledgeable and polite and enthusiastic. The food samples were numerous and diverse and very generous in size and all were absolutely delicious! We learned some history, admired the architecture, and enjoyed details about what we were eating as well. The brochure was a great takeaway, for future explorations and we did return to shop at three of the locations on the tour!! Thanks! We will be back again to do another food tour.

The Other Side of the Village
Fri, Jan 20, 12   12:00 PM MelanieThiel Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Other
We have been on the East side tour of the village and found this to be different. Much more ethnic both in foods and cultures which was so fondly described by Susan, our host for the trip! We enjoyed the various foods but mostly it was fun to go inside and see the shops and workers and owners as that is the culture of the Central Village. Thoroughly loved Washington Square Park although we would return in better weather as it was bitter cold. Your tours are always a highlight of our time in NYC and we tell everyone to try them. Thanks again for a great look at inside NY where the real people are...

Great Tour and Tasting Experience

We had such a great time on this tour with Susan. She gave us some history of the neighborhood, was friendly and kept us on pace, and the food tastings were great. I did this tour with my two adult daughters, and we all enjoyed it very much. On top of everything else, one of my daughters just recently found out she had a food allergy, and the tour was extremely accomodating without making her feel singled out or out of place. We all highly recommend the tour, and the food! We would also go back for another tour of a different neighborhood.

This tour was so much fun and delicious! We covered a lot of ground and learned so much about the area, as well as tasting a wide variety of foods. The area we walked around in is definitely one of the coolest areas of the city! Cafes, bars and shops surround the entire place, with so much to see and do. This tour really covered the history of the area with so many interesting facts. I would highly recommend this tour to friends and family whenever visiting NY, or looking for something to do as a special plan. It was the highlight of our weekend!

As always Foods of NY tour (FONYT) has another winner. This is our third year checking out the neighborhoods and foods of NYC. From the curious Indian egg wrap, the bolognese, the smoked mozz with sundried toms to the sweet ending at Once Upon a Tart. Yum, Yum, Yum. Bring some extra cash for cocktails along the way. We tend to dominant our tour, as we have 12 in our group--and we are LOUD--you know we are happy when we aren't talking, 'cause we are munching. FONYT is also happy to make vegetarian accommodations, which is helpful, too. The portions are generous and you will leave this tour, like the others, full and content--no need for a big dinner at night, you will still be full. Aside from the food, we thoroughly enjoy the history lesson we get a long the way. Thanks for another great time, we are looking forward to booking the Nolita tour next year.
