The food tasting was very generous, and very delicious! Our leader also had great knowledge of the area, and was very friendly, and even funny! She made a point of learning our names, and making sure we were having a great experience. We did!

Getting to know New York

We enjoy the food tours very much. They tell us a little about an area that we are not familiar with and we find that we have returned to some of the venues at later times. In fact, instead of staying around Times Square on our next New York visit, we think we'll try Greenwich Village or thereabouts.

This was my second food tour with this company. I love the combination of neighborhood history, great food, and wonderful, knowledgeable and interesting guides. A great way to get to know the neighborhoods of New York.

Our guide, Diana, was great and loaded with lots of historical information about the neighborhoods. She clearly loved the area and eager to share her knowledge of the foods, architecture and people who live or lived in the neighborhood.

Once Again, A Home Run Tour

This is the second Food's of NY tour we have taken. The guide/historian was incredible. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him. The food was excellent and plentiful. The cultural and historical explanation was second to none. The tour was so personal, we feel just like family. This is a must see, must do for tourists and locals alike. If you want to experience the real NYC, this is the best way to spend three hours.

Lunch of appetizers w/Lots of great local history!
Fri, May 24, 13   12:30 PM DONNALUSBY Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
No need for lunch with this historical tour of local neighborhood.

But not what I expected. I expected to go to an artisanal cheese shop, taste a bit, and have time to purchase; stop at a deli, taste a bit, with an opportunity to puchase my fave!

continue on to: pastry shop, Chocolatier, coffee, tea, etc.

Still and all, our guide, Barri was a wealth of information, while we "snacked" our way through the Village into SoHo.

Great tour -Good food and overview of the area

The tour gave a very nice understanding and flavor of the area, combined with good food. The combinations of the foods made for a very nice lunch. The tour guide, Susan, provided a overview of the changes that occurred and that are occurring in this specific area. We will come back and try some of the restaurants in the future.

Our food tour was a wonderful experience for me, my husband, my sister and her husband. The fellows thought they may not like it but they loved it and we will do it again. Susan was so informative and really knew the area which gave us more than a food tour. So much history as well. The tour was very organized, the vendors treated us like special guests.

Wonderful Tour

My group found the food tour to be extremely well run and we all had a great time. Our guide, Susan, was fully knowledgeable about the area and had many interesting stories and information to share with us. The food was all excellent and well presented. The only thing I would change would be the type of food offered - it was all excellent but very filling and it might be better if some of the tastings were of a 'lighter' fair, with less breads. Otherwise, it was a great afternoon and we are looking forward to doing another food tour on our next trip to NYC.
