Great Food & History

All but one food stop on this tour was excellent. Even the one I did not find to be excellent, was still very good. No complaints on the food. Best grilled cheese I've ever had. More than enough food for lunch. Did not need dinner afterwards. Very accommodating to vegetarians as well. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the neighborhood's history and certainly know more about it now than probably most of the people who live there. I would recommend this for anyone really: couples, families, friends, co-workers.

Great way for outsiders of Nyc to get an inside view of the city.

We have been on a number of your tours in the last few years and will continue to arrange them when we come to on visits. You have done a superb job at finding really lovely and engaging hosts that help us feel connected with the city.

Thank you.

It was a little of everything! Great food and great history tour. Our guide made it very personal. The tour was actually a birthday gift because we were going on my birthday. Our tour guide surprised us all by doing a desert with a flaming candle at the Cuban restaurant. we appreciated the extra time she spent to make it special. Loved everything!

A tour with an international flair

To sum up the tour, it was chock full of historical information from the slave trade to the civil war to the mafia to 60s music history to current real estate prices, and combined with yummy international food tastings! You will learn a lot and eat a lot while strolling through this gorgeous area of Greenwich Village. This is my second tour this year, and I will be going back for another come fall.

Heart of the village tour equals fabulous food!

The heart of the village food tour was our second tour with foods of New York. Barri is a wonderful guy with lots of interesting bits of information about the village. All of the foods were delicious and filling. The only possible negative is we walked quite a bit outside in the heat took it's toll on one of the older members in the group. I give a special shout out to Monte of Monte's trattoria who provided us with a lovely meeting place and a fabulous Bolognese tasting. Although not on the tasting list yet included in one of the seven tastings, the grilled cheese and brisket Panini was out of this world fantastic. There were three of us in this group including my husband who is a meat and potatoes guy, our daughter who only eats chicken and fish, and myself who eats almost everything. We were all happy with the selections.
