A Must-do while visiting NYC

This tour is a fabulous way to experience a neighborhood in NYC! Our tour guide, Susan, had a love for her city that she easily communicated to our group. She made me and my 5 girlfriends feel as if we were visiting our girlfriend and she was taking us to her favorite local spots where we could taste, touch and learn interesting and little known facts. The amount of food and the variety of food was perfect. Portions were generous from 1/2 sandwich, a bowl of pasta, a slice of pizza and other samplings with a chance for a couple of sit-downs with the opportunity to purchase adult beverages if so desired. A most delightful way to spend a few hours that was worth every cent!

Food tastings not as interesting & tour guide neg

We've taken this tour and others with your company and this time it just felt flat. The tastings weren't as interesting and the tour guide didn't engage us. She knew her stuff but was more acting than engaging and some in our large party (8) was really put off by her.

Whether you are in the big apple for the day or you live in another burough it is worth taking the time to show up for a food tour. You get a wonderful sampling of what the local restaurants and such have to offer as well as a great lil' history lesson. So put on your walking shoes and come hungry. Just don't miss this experience. Great for a couple or a group.

We had an amazing time on this tour. It was myself, my mom and my 9yo daughter. I'm more of a "foodie" than the rest but we all had a great time learning about the history of the village, as well as tasting the excellent foods on the tour. From the grilled cheese to the empanadas I was blown away. Thanks for a great time Barri. We really enjoyed it!

I enjoyed every aspect of our tour, from the history of the area to the delicious food we tasted. Will highly recommend this to my friends who are planning a trip to NYC. Our tour guide was great and I loved that she grew up in the area of our tour.

Terrific way to learn a NYC neighborhood

Informative and entertaining - a great way to learn a concentrated area in NYC. Word of warning - lots of food, pace yourself! The food is fantastic and varied, but tends to be quite heavy on the Greenwich Village tour. We live in New Jersey and wanted to give this a try on our "staycation" - well worth the price and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A great time had by all!

Our tour leader, Barri, was exceptional. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and knew SO much about Greenwich Village! Our favorite stops included an exceptional grilled cheese sandwich with brisket (we'll never think of grilled cheese the same way again), an old fashioned coffee shop that was a sensory treat, and a mexican restaurant with the best tacos any of us had ever eaten! Every stop was fun, though, and in between we had our own personal tour of the village, no rush, lots of interaction. It's sold me on future food tours, especially with this company. It was a great time had by all!

Food, Culture and History

Besides getting to taste a variety of foods our tour guide was an amazing wealth of cultural and historical information for the area. If you are looking for places to eat and more that are not typical tourist attractions this tour is your guide. We went back to eat a meal at one of the stops Cuba. I had the spinach/cheese empenadas, ceviche, sweet plantains, and Tres Leches Cake for dessert. Everything was on the mark.
