FUN WAY TO SPEND THE AFTERNOON

The Central Greenwich Village tour was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My husband and I were in NY as tourists with our son and daughter-in-law who live locally. All four of us had a lot of fun and would do another tour with this company. Our guide was very friendly and funny, and we enjoyed the food tastings. I've done the original Greenwich Village tour and liked this one just as well if not more so.

Over the past year we have taken 3 of the Foods of NY tours booked through Zerve and plan to take others on next visit to NYC. Central Greenwich was very different from the Original Greenwich which we took a year ago. As described, there were no overlaps. Tour guide was very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and interesting. There were numerous tastings and they were very generous and delicious!

Our guide was an exceptional and knowledgeable local. She was really engaging, providing interesting and informative information as we progressed on the tour. She was happy to answer any and all questions. We really enjoyed the tour, that brought the history and culture to life. The food tasting was excellent and varied, with some options of alcohol to ease things along.

The Central Greenwich Village Tour has a nice variety of food choices in a great area. We went back to several of the places for meals later on in our trip. Would recommend taking this tour early in your trip so you can go back to places that you like. Raheem, our guide, was a very fun guy that made sure that everyone had a great time (be sure to ask him how the restaurant Rbbts gets its name - "everything's got just a little bit of..." He even pointed out or stopped our group at places of interest (e.g. stores, restaurants, shops, etc.) along the way in addition to the official tasting locations. There is plenty of food served on the tour that it easily takes the place of a meal.

We enjoyed a most informative tour with Raheem, who is knowledgable, nurturant, and loves food like we do! The tour is well-organized and fun. It is one of my favorite activities to do as a parent with my grown children. A bonus is that it is equally interesting for tourists and native New Yorkers.
