Susan was a great tour guide; she gave us lots of information about the Village. The food was way more than we anticipated. Just needed a snack for dinner after that.

Third time and always perfect

This is our third tour and we've always had great food, a great guide and lots of laughs, and learned lots of trivia about the area.

Can't wait till next year to do Chelsea

MY only comment is that every time I've booked., only time shown is the noon time slot.

We would prefer to book a later time slot and we see that you add times when the earlier one fills up. Wish we would have known this, as we would have booked the later one.

But still a great time.

My wife and I enjoyed very much the different tastings - and espicially the interesting cultural information about the district.

Actually we returned three times to the restaurants visited at the tour (twice at the same restaurant).

My friend and I had taken one of the food tours on our last visit to the City and we were so delighted with the experience that we signed up for the Village SOHO tour this year.

We were more than delighted by our current tour. Our guide, Raheem, was wonderful.

He was very familiar with the area, the food, the history, the architecture, and the culture of the Village and SOHO. The food was fabulous, but what we most love about these tours, is that it gives us an introduction to the neighborhoods and the unique eateries.

We returned to the Village that same night and had a wonderful dinner at one of the featured restaurants. We make a list of all the places we will visit on our next trip to the City. The tours have become a "must do" for all of our yearly visits.

A special highlight of this tour was having a slice of the most amazingly delicious cheesecake at BellaVitae(?). Raheem said that we were going to taste the best cheesecake in the world, and he was right!

I would definitely recommend this tour. Not only was the food tasting varied and (mostly) delicious, but we also got the area’s history and learned interesting trivia (Bob Dylan’s house, the club where Jimi Hendrix was “house band”, what former tenement apartments now cost to rent, etc).

The sauce Bolognese at Monte’s was the best I’ve ever had outside of northern Italy and I was delighted to be able to tell the chef so. I loved having dessert of ricotta cheesecake at the third stop (Bellavitae) and another dessert at the end (chocolate walnut tart at Once Upon a Tart). Seeing some of the local stores on the tour (where there was no tasting) just made me want to buy everything in sight, but, alas, there wasn’t enough time to shop.

Ideally, one would be able to choose the places to visit and the food to taste, but that would be impossible. Still, I would have liked to eat at a French restaurant, and stopped at a café to people watch.

Also enjoyable was when we sat to eat and were able to meet the others on the tour, including tourists from far-flung parts of the world.
