A definite must-do in NYC

All three of us had taken (and thoroughly enjoyed) the first Greenwich food tour a few months ago and were equaly enthusiastic about this one. Great guide (Barry, not Mary!), interesting information, excellent food. A great value and perfect way to learn about NYC. The next morning we returned to Cafe del Mar for a wonderful brunch. Good food at a very reasonable price.

We wish this kind of tours could be possible everywhere in Ny.Next time we´ll try another of your tours

We had this phenomenal guide, Barry, who took well care of us all, who informed us so well on cultural and gastronomical issues while we walked. We could not miss anything. We´ll remember New York after this, be sure.

Great guides, good information, too much standing

I loved the information that we were given about the area that we were in and the restaurants that we could return to to eat,d rink and derive entertainment from. The down part of the trip was a lot of standing around instead of walking or finding a spot where we could all sit and listen to the guides. The food was good and they accommodated individuals who were vegans and disliked spicey food. Very considerate. Some of the portions could have been larger or peraps have two small ortions of two different foods at the same location. I wold reccommend this tour to others in the New York area as something to do when they first arrived so that they had options for dinners and entertainment away from Broadway.

very good

The tour was very good. Barry seemed annoyed when I bought some food at a pasta shop. She told me three times that the tour would not wait. I agreed each time, saying OK, we'll catch up. The third time was REALLY annoying. The group had not left when my purchase was complete for reasons that have nothing to do with me. Therefore, at least two of the three naggings were superfluous.

Also, there was no bathroom stop on a three hour event.. Not so good for persons over sixty.

Otherwise, we enjoyed the food, the history, and the tour.

Whether you are in the big apple for the day or you live in another burough it is worth taking the time to show up for a food tour. You get a wonderful sampling of what the local restaurants and such have to offer as well as a great lil' history lesson. So put on your walking shoes and come hungry. Just don't miss this experience. Great for a couple or a group.

I enjoyed every aspect of our tour, from the history of the area to the delicious food we tasted. Will highly recommend this to my friends who are planning a trip to NYC. Our tour guide was great and I loved that she grew up in the area of our tour.

Terrific way to learn a NYC neighborhood

Informative and entertaining - a great way to learn a concentrated area in NYC. Word of warning - lots of food, pace yourself! The food is fantastic and varied, but tends to be quite heavy on the Greenwich Village tour. We live in New Jersey and wanted to give this a try on our "staycation" - well worth the price and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A great time had by all!

Our tour leader, Barri, was exceptional. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and knew SO much about Greenwich Village! Our favorite stops included an exceptional grilled cheese sandwich with brisket (we'll never think of grilled cheese the same way again), an old fashioned coffee shop that was a sensory treat, and a mexican restaurant with the best tacos any of us had ever eaten! Every stop was fun, though, and in between we had our own personal tour of the village, no rush, lots of interaction. It's sold me on future food tours, especially with this company. It was a great time had by all!

This is the 4th Food of New York Tour our group has been on over the years. Rahim was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable about the area with much insight on the history of same. Each food stop provided more than just a tasting and one was better than the next. Highly recommend this tour as well as Rahim as your tour guide! We will be back next year for another!!
