All three of us had taken (and thoroughly enjoyed) the first Greenwich food tour a few months ago and were equaly enthusiastic about this one. Great guide (Barry, not Mary!), interesting information, excellent food. A great value and perfect way to learn about NYC. The next morning we returned to Cafe del Mar for a wonderful brunch. Good food at a very reasonable price.

We wish this kind of tours could be possible everywhere in Ny.Next time we´ll try another of your tours

We had this phenomenal guide, Barry, who took well care of us all, who informed us so well on cultural and gastronomical issues while we walked. We could not miss anything. We´ll remember New York after this, be sure.

Great guides, good information, too much standing

I loved the information that we were given about the area that we were in and the restaurants that we could return to to eat,d rink and derive entertainment from. The down part of the trip was a lot of standing around instead of walking or finding a spot where we could all sit and listen to the guides. The food was good and they accommodated individuals who were vegans and disliked spicey food. Very considerate. Some of the portions could have been larger or peraps have two small ortions of two different foods at the same location. I wold reccommend this tour to others in the New York area as something to do when they first arrived so that they had options for dinners and entertainment away from Broadway.

very good

The tour was very good. Barry seemed annoyed when I bought some food at a pasta shop. She told me three times that the tour would not wait. I agreed each time, saying OK, we'll catch up. The third time was REALLY annoying. The group had not left when my purchase was complete for reasons that have nothing to do with me. Therefore, at least two of the three naggings were superfluous.

Also, there was no bathroom stop on a three hour event.. Not so good for persons over sixty.

Otherwise, we enjoyed the food, the history, and the tour.

I will probably spell his name wrong, but Rawmon(he is from Brooklyn) was absolutely fantastic! He was funny and knew everything about the neighborhood. If we visit NYC again, we will definitely request him. The food was great also. We really enjoyed it.

I took my son as a surprise for his birthday. He is an avid watcher of the food network and a lover of all cuisines, which is why I picked this tour. Can't say enough good about our tour guide Rasheem. He was extremely knowledgable about the food, the culture and interesting facts about the neighborhood. Never was there a dull moment. We tasted foods from American cuisine (grilled cheese outstanding), Indian, coffee house, Italian pasta, pizza, tea house, Mexican and ended with a French macaroon. Rasheem even managed the Mexican eatery to bring out a flan for his birthday and everybody sang. Highly recommended tour. Can't wait to go to my next.

My wife booked this for us to get to know a part of the city we are unfamiliar with. Another couple visiting the city accompanied us. We enjoyed the historical aspect of the tour. The guide was very knowledgable of the area and provided amusing and interesting anecdotes that kept the interst of our group. We were very impressed at how warm and personable she was, particularly by calling each person on the tour by name. As a benefit the others in our group were friendly and we enjoyed getting to know some other people. One person even shared his contact number with me when he realized we were fairly new residents to New York City.

My wife had a minor iinjury a few days prior to the tour and therefore was unable to join us. We will definitely repeat this tour and recommend as good entertainment when hosting out of town visitors as well as to explore a new neighborhood if you are a native.
