Tour was both interesting & delicious

Even though all four of us are native New Yorkers, we all learned a lot about the history of the area. The food stops were excellent. They were varied in taste & food type. They were all places we will probably revisit. Our tour guide, Raheem, was fun, entertaining & knowledgeable.

Second Tour, Another great time

We took our first food tour last year and couldn't wait to take the second. Raheem (hope that is spelled correctly) was our tour guide and Ted was along to learn the tour. Both gentlemen were informative and delightful. The food on these tours amaze me. Not only is it delicious but diverse culturally. We learned fascinating historical information about the area and stories that would definitely not be found in textbooks. The group we were with included people from all over the world which also makes for great conversations as you walk through The Village. We REALLY enjoy these food tours and if you are going to be in NYC for a few days I HIGHLY recommend it. We can't wait to get back to the city to try another food tour with this wonderful company.

We took the Heart of the Village Tour, April 2015. It was excellent. We had six or so eateries to visit and a reasonable amount of walking through the neighbourhood over the course of three hours so the portion sizes had to be (and were) appropriate. There were 18/19 on the tour and the tour guide (Rahim) was a highly personable (and knowledgeable) character, he held our attention throughout, obviously enjoys what he does for a living and was able to give our group an interesting insight into the history and make-up of the eateries we visited and the Greenwich district in general. This was probably the best time we spent in NYC in terms of value for money.

Our guide was great. I could not believe how much food we were given at each place. 10 years ago we remember just getting a taste. This was way more food, and we loved it!

The food tour was absolutely great. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon exploring a new neighborhood and trying great food along the way. Our guide, Susan, was very warm and knowledgeable about the city, the neighborhood and the food. I was traveling alone and really enjoyed talking to the other parties on the tour and making new friends and connections. Can't wait to go on another one next time I'm in NYC!

Barri did a great job - provided interesting historical information and was warm and welcoming. The first (grilled cheese sandwich with brisket) and last (French pastry item) were the tastiest, although the Cuban fare was also noteworthy. Nice way to get a feel for the area...

Wonderful intro to the neighborhood AND great food

We learned a ton from our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Susan. Lots of interesting facts about the history and present of that part of Greenwich Village. The food stops were all excellent, and we were stuffed (though pleasantly so) by the end. One of us grew up in NY but haven't lived there in over 30 years, and we still learned some new things. Would definitely recommend as a fun and easy way to learn about a part of the city.

A Must-do while visiting NYC

This tour is a fabulous way to experience a neighborhood in NYC! Our tour guide, Susan, had a love for her city that she easily communicated to our group. She made me and my 5 girlfriends feel as if we were visiting our girlfriend and she was taking us to her favorite local spots where we could taste, touch and learn interesting and little known facts. The amount of food and the variety of food was perfect. Portions were generous from 1/2 sandwich, a bowl of pasta, a slice of pizza and other samplings with a chance for a couple of sit-downs with the opportunity to purchase adult beverages if so desired. A most delightful way to spend a few hours that was worth every cent!
