I never knew there were so many wonderful restaurants, artisan food shops and beautiful little side streets in Greenwich Village. The group was small and friendly. The guide was well informed and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. Great fun!!

Our tour guide was enthusiastic, friendly, and accomodating. Along with taking us from eatery to shop, she pointed out some historical sites in Greenwich Village - she took our group along a street where the making of the film version of "Doubt" is now under way. She was even kind to just have our group swing by places (restaurants, for example) along our route that were not included as a tour stop. The only thing I would change is to offer more diverse food options: we had two servings of pizza, a serving of Thai food, cookies from a bakery, cheese and olives from Murray's Cheese Shop, cold cut slices from a long-time Italian butcher shop and olive oil from OOCO (not sure if I have the name right.). It's nice that I received a pamphlet of suggested eateries/restaurants that I would not have known of.

We had a wonderful tour led by Barri. She wove a lovely story as we moved from pizza place... to food shop... to restaurant. Our appreciate of Greenwich Village and it's food increased as the tour continued. A fun way to learn about the village and NY food history, while enjoying tasty treats along the way

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I was especially pleased that the tour guide started exactly on time, latecomers had to find us we didn't have to wait on them.

The only thing i would change is the tipping policy. Can't you pay your folks what you need to and charge it in the ticket price or make it clear that tips are expected and not included in the ticket price?

Just a great way to experience the Village - it fills you with great food and interesting information and an appreciation of a wonderful place, through someone who has enthusiastically lived it.

I enjoyed the tour, and feel like I got a real feel for Greenwich Village. However, the tour itself was a little too long. It was cold, and we spent most of our time standing around and listening to the guide, so we got rather tired. I also thought there would be more to eat - my assumption was that we would be getting the equivalent of a meal, and it didn't really feel like that.

I appreciated the restaurant recommendations and the document you provided. We returned to the Cornelia Street Cafe for dinner the next night and had an exquisite meal. I would try (or recommend) any of the restaurants on the list on my next trip.
