A highlight of our time visiting Manhattan. If you like to eat and are interested in the Village this is time and money well spent.

Tasty, Informative Walking tour

As our first introduction to the Greenwich area in NYC, this walking tour was perfect. Two adults travelling with our two older teenage children, our guide was focussed, friendly and informative, and the food we sampled on the day was delicious and varied. We luckily did this tour on day 1 in NYC as it gave us ideas on restaurants we could visit later on - which we did. Highly recommended - just make sure you begin the tour hungry!

The rain did not stop us from having such a fun time tasting our way through an area of the city that all of us have been through before. This time while in the Village, you could learn more about many restaurants, culture, and history while eating. What a great kind of museum. Robin, the tour guide made it very interesting.

Really enjoyed the size of the group, not too large. Marie our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and entertaining. The food was wonderful as was the history behind each restaurant/shop. Great way to spend some time in the village. Will do another tour next time we visit New York.

Food tour good but canned

While our tour guide knew a lot about the topics and was lively, I felt as if we were on an assembly line. His presentation, down to the jokes, was completely canned, almost memorized. Maybe that's inevitable. He worked very hard to get to know the names of the people on the tour, which was good, but the way he used those was hokey. I did like the architectural information about the neighborhood. The food, while delicious in quality and generous in quantity, was pretty much some form of cheese and grain in every place. I would have liked to understand more deeply the food history of the area. We enjoyed ourselves, but I wouldn't go back.

Our guide, Sephrah, was comedic fun, filled with local knowledge and the food was terrific! A great way to get a snapshot of Greenwich Village!

Thanks, Sephrah, for a memorable afternoon!

Sephra is awesome

This is our third Foods of NY tour - Chelsea, Nolita, and this. All 3 were wonderful tours, good food, good guides, all rated 5s, but Sephra is absolutely wonderful. (She tells us she always does the 11am tour on her working days.) With her fabulous personality and humor we hardly noticed it was a yucky rainy day. She is hysterical. Just enough history and talk about the neighborhood, lots of light-hearted humor, mixed with 6 small bites (e.g. a risotto ball bigger than a golf ball; slice of pizza) + 2 desserts. The best way to do lunch in NYC!

clearly a marketing ploy

Very little historical/cultural information about the area. Felt like a group of restaurants formed an organization to parade tourists through their locations. Food was just okay. Every location was billed as the "best" you'll have ...

Very reasonable price explains the tour's value.
