fabulous guide and great food

Anny was knowledgeable and interesting and kept the group moving along without getting bossy. Loved the history of the area from someone who had lived there. I would change the order to start with the bombolone at Il Buco and end with the cupcake at Little Cupcake and wouldn't have Oficina Latina and Tacombi at Fonda Nolita back to back since they were both Latin foods. You could skip Public since there was no tasting and their "goody bag" was tossed out by the 3 of us. We loved Emporio and went back for dinner. This was my second Foods of NY tour and I'll do another.

I have been on at least 6 Foods of Ny Tours and this one was the best! Our guide,Annie, truly was so excited about her job and it showed in her presentations of the area and,as usual, really highlights the locals! Locally owned and locally operated shows a pride not found in some Manhattan areas.

My family,daughter,son-in-law and 2 grandchildren,(15 and 12) were all in agreement that the foods, shops, parks, architecture and the lovely people were all great to us. We had a very diverse selection of Italian,Mexican,French,Pan American foods that was satisfying and yummy and also enjoyed the drinks that were offered. A nice treat!

It was a cold and windy day but Annie's smile, mastery of remembering our names and lovely song at the end of our tour were superb. This was a special tour which we would highly recommend.

Thanks for the memories. We wish you love!!

Please allow me to sing the praises of this tour company, our guide Bert and the participating restaurants. Honestly, I cannot imagine a more delightful, delicious way to experience a glimpse of NY history, culture and culinary wealth. Our guide? Could not have been any more engaging if he tried. Charming, funny and gracious.

The adventure began on time, ran smoothly. The tasting stops were well-paced and mouthwateringly diverse. Our favorite? Tough to choose between the Tartinery or arepas at La Oficina. If I could write a song, I'd pen a love ballad about the kumquat/rosemary caipirinha.

Eager to return to NYC in order to take another tour. Banish all doubt or hesitation and book yours now!

Another Fabulous Food Tour - Nolita this time!

We have had great experiences with our last two food tours and decided to try this as our third (we will definitely go on all that are offered). We were a family of 4 (from CT) and made the reservations along with friends of ours from (NJ). In total there were four kids and 3 adults in our group. We really did enjoy everything. The food (as always) was fabulous - we plan to go back to a few places on our own. It didn't seem as though this tour had as much walking as the Greenwich Village tour, and we had more time in each place to sit and eat (even order a drink if we wanted). In the other tours, we really enjoyed meeting the other people and chatting. This tour we were able to catch up with our friends (b/c we had plenty of time during our tastings), as well as chat with the other people on the tour. Our guide was funny, considerate and so very knowledgeable. Of course, I highly recommend this tour. My family also loved the Greenwich Village tour and the Chelsea Market tour.

Fabulous Experience

This was our fourth food tour... we have been on Original Greenwich Village, Heart of the Village, and this was our second time on the Nolita tour (our favorite). Each time we visit NY, we bring more friends on these tours, and they never disappoint. We can't say enough great things about the Nolita tour, from the history of the area to the delicious food to the variety of restaurants...it is amazing. A perfect way to spend an afternoon. We often return for dinner to the places we first encountered on the tour. Probably the best part of the tour, however, was our amazing tour guide, ANNIE! She is so knowledgable, sweet, and fun. We were fortunate to have Annie as our guide both times. She is delightful! The Food Tours of NY are fantastic and the people who run it are first rate. Highly recommended!

Loved our food tour, was a definite highlight to our week in nyc. Was the perfect balance of food tastings & history of the neighbourhood. Our guide Anny was an absolute delight, she was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun! She went out of her way to look after us and make the tour personal. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. The fact we wandered around in the snow, was an added bonus!!

This was my 3rd food tour and as for the other tours, there was a lot of nice surprises and great restaurants ! but what makes this tour unique is our guide Annie, she is such a great person, once you meet her, you wish to become her friend !! she is so enthusiastic, passionate, knows a lot about culture and history and cherry on the cake she ends the tour with emotion singing a lovely song from Nat King Cole

I will recommend this tour to everyone visiting New York !!!

We loved the tour! Our guide Annie was warm, friendly, informative, and energetic. She made the tour fun and made everyone feel special and impotent to her. We learned so much about the area and how it was in the past. The food stops were wonderful!

I would recommend this tour to anyone that would like to lunch and learn!

Great fun!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Bert who was an awesome, funny, helpful guide...we loved him!

I went on this tour last week with my 19 year old son and we both had a blast. The food was wonderful and learning about the neighborhood while we ate was just a plus. We want to do the Chelsea tour next time we are in town...heck, we want to do ALL of them.
