This was an amazing tour. Greenwich village is full of history, beautiful buildings and food. Robin was really knowledgeable, professional and witty. She has great relationships with all the restaurant owners which added to the experience by making it really personal. I couldn't recommend a better food tour. Thanks Robin!

We truly enjoyed the tour. The choices were excellent and the tour guide, Bert, was extremely down to earth and pleasant to be around. The only thing I wished for was a little milk with my chocolate chip cookie. Outside of that we had a FANTASTIC time!!! Definitely will be purchasing tickets for one of the other tours at another time.

Thank you so much!!!

Culture/History/Food/AMAZING
Mon, May 25  12:00 PM CMBCMB Female 20-29 Local Group of Friends
I booked this tour for our bridal party as a means to spend time together as a group before the madness of the wedding took hold completely (one last hurrah!). Our group does not often spend much time in this particular part of the City (even as locals) and found it quite enjoyable to take a tour. The tour guide we were assigned was Susan. Susan is quite knowledgeable regarding the shops and general area. We loved the examples of early architecture Susan pointed out and learning about the early history of the Village. I will note that Susan does focus heavily on the 1960s-1970s era. The tour does not particularly delve into contemporary events that have occurred in this area (1970-Present) which is unfortunate, however, we truthfully came for one reason--THE FOOD. Please let me assure you, THE FOOD IS AMAZING. It is unfortunate that our bride is lactose intolerant (and so I must note for our lactose intolerant friends that there is a considerable bit of cheese/dairy involved) however we all still had a great time and the sheer amount of food is MORE than enough for lunch (even without the dairy). From Indian to Cuban to French cuisine you will certainly enjoy the diversity of the samplings.

I booked this tour for my husband and my 2 year anniversary, we enjoyed this far beyond any expectations! Robin (our tour guide) was fantastic and energetic, even with a couple hiccups with vendors she didn't skip a beat! We stayed just the right amount of full during the tour and there was a bit of walking involved so that came in handy. I would truly recommend this tour to any history buff, foodie, or someone who wants a behind the scenes take of Chelsea market and Ganzevoort market! The food was quite literally mouthwatering and the best part it was worth much more then what we paid! So don't be afraid to tip your guide!!!

Enjoyable tour, but...

I enjoyed the tour as a way to learn more about Greenwich Village. However, parts of the tour seemed a bit discombobulated.

Our tour guide was nice, but she seemed overly concerned about the timing of the tour, how many extra minutes we had, etc. It seemed I heard more about how many minutes ahead or behind we were than actual information about the area.

RJ is a great guide

Went through Greenwich Village area with RJ as tour guide. He did awesome job showing us the sites and sharing unique history of this area. Food stops were great, he was able to provide lots of information about what we were eating and how it was a unique offering making it one of the samples. We stopped at a pizza shop (delicious), an olive oil specialty shop (excellent information here), an Italian restaurant, a bakery, a meat shop (Faicco's), Food offerings included NY Style (Neapolitan) Thin Crust Pizza, Olive Oil & spreads on Tuscan Bread, Arancini (Rice Ball with creamy middle), homemade meatball with sauce, classic eggplant rollatini (could not tell no pasta), optional added drink at this site, Chocolate chip cookie, cheese tasting with options from cows, sheep, and goat, and finished with cannoli. Great food, good sized manageable group.

Although cousins of NYC (Long Islanders) this was our first NYC tour. My daughter and I really enjoyed our day and our tour guide RJ was something special. He's a person who loves his job and a people person. In addition, to being very informative, he was funny and was very organized. I would absolutely recommend this tour company to anyone and if they are doing the Greenwich Village tour, I would definitely recommend RJ. Thanks RJ for making our day very special.

Loved my tour with Robin. Apart from many varied food tastings Robin also gave a good history of the Nabisco biscuit factory and the area including a short section of the High line. Fantastic 3 hours and I could have done longer.
