Our guide was informative and friendly. The food was more than enough for lunch. We really enjoyed the tips and coupons for places in the area. That will really help on a return visit.

This was our second walking tour with your company. Chelsea Market was very neat, loved hearing about the area and the food was GREAT. We had a variety of food. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. He amazed me how he continued to remember everyones name. He keep the conversations going and was very energetic and exciting! He did a great job. I would really recommend this tour to everyone. Looking forward to the next time we are in NYC!

Food Tour was good

Food portion of the tour was good; I would have liked more inclusion of more food-related stops and less lengthy lecture on the surrounding buildings, ironwork, artists, politicians, the Bronx, etc.

I have been on 4 tours and would take one everytime I am in New York. They are very informative about the neighborhood and history of the area. Learning about the restaurants and trying the food is what it is all about! When you are in New York as a tourist you don't know about so many of the small and quaint restaurants in these areas and by taking one of these tours you discover many of the fabulous places to eat!

FUN because of tour guide

I've forgotten her name, but our tour guide was just so funny, and made the tour great! The places I enjoyed visiting the most were the Aphrodisia shop, Mary's cheese, Vinoteque, La Palma. The milk & something could have been great, if the waiter hadn't treated me as a tourist who he thought he could rip off by charging me 2 dollars for an extra shot of expresso in my cappuccino. He could have gained a costumer as I live in the neighborhood, but instead he lost one!

Again, our tourguide had great, great dry humor and if she ever does a talk show, let me know! She should be on a radio station or making comments on golf turnaments on tv. So funny!

Our tour guide did a great job of creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We liked the way she engaged members of the group, especially the children. Given her professinal background in the culinary arts, she was able to bring considerable knowledge to a discussion of the foods we tasted and the restaurants in the neighborhood.

The architectural features of the historic buildings that she pointed out were well chosen -- enough detail to bring an era to life, but not so much as to be overwhelming. We came away with a feeling of connectedness to the area, so much so, that an article in Tuesday's New York Times about the South Village turned us into preservation advocates.

We plan to return to NY for another food tour, and for dinner at one of the neighborhood restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

was not that impressed with the food choices - lots of bread and carbs, with little 'authenticity" to the tour itself

great guide - she was very knowledgable and inclusive.

In spite of terrible weather (the rain was pouring down) we really enjoyed the tour in Greenwich Village.

Our guide Saffra( spelling?) offered a well balanced tour with information about architecture of the neighbourhood, life now and then in the Village and of course the samples of excellent food.

We highly recommend other to take part of a similar experience!

Best of the New York Tours

This was my second New York food tour. My first tour was with a different tour company that featured chocolates and desserts on the Upper West Side. There was a tremendous difference in quality between the two tours, and the Greenwich Village tour was by far the better tour. Our guide Cindy was professional, funny and had a wealth of interesting information about New York. This tour company has a relationship with the restaurants and stores that we visited, and they were expecting us and had our food ready. On the other tour, the tour guide had to stand in line and order the food, and pay for it while we waited. We had more to eat on this tour, the food was better and varied, and the tour was longer, lasting for three and one-half hours, compared to just over two hours for the Upper West Side tour. There was also a big difference in the professionalism of the guides, with Cindy being a far better tour guide. It was also fun that she had lived in the neighborhood and knew so many of the people there. Cindy also knew a lot about the history of the area, which was completely lacking on the other tour. Since both tours are about the same price, this tour seemed like a bargain.

Walking around a beautiful neighbourhood, getting local history and eating deelicious snackies. doesn't get much better than this. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

A nice surprise for us -- our very personable guide was from Canada, eh.

Loved it. Our guide, Heather, was great, interesting, and fun. Enjoyed a small, low-key tour in the middle of big city.
